Marshall nearly did a fist pump at his newer grade and he couldn’t help but to smile.
“Yes!” He exclaimed with excitement.
He was ready for this test.

She looked at him with a grin. “You did amazing! There’s no way you won’t be able to be ready in time for the test. We still have 4 more chapters to practice and get down but we have about two weeks till then and then the day after semester exams are done it’s homecoming!” She explained with joy in her voice and a smile on her face even with the bruising and swelling

He nodded.
“I can’t wait! ”

Marshall nodded as he stood up leaving his papers behind on the table.
He went into the kitchen and began to make an ice pack.
He came back and handed it to her with a grimace and sat down.
“Are you okay?”

She shrugged, “I-I think I’ll be okay in the end. That’s what counts right?” She asked him. She graciously took the ice pack and placed it to her bruised and swollen section of her face. She initially cringed at the sensation.

He looked at her with a grimace.
“I really wish I could help… or maybe find the dudes who keep doing this to you.” He replied his eyes briefly wondering towards her little black sketch book on the coffee table.

She nodded no, “there’s no point in going after him he’ll come back” she explained softly to him. She notice where his eyes went to and she sighed. Pushing It towards him she looked back to him, “you can see it…..” She said softly. Giving a small smile.

He sighed and tried to ignore what she had said initially.
He wanted to make sure she was safe and do everything he could to make sure shw wasnt attacked again.
“Are you sure?” He asked as she allowed him to look at her sketch book.

She nodded, “you saved me tonight. I suppose I owe you” she said softly. “You know, the only way I’ll ever be safe is if I never go back” she said softly on a quiet voice.

Her sketch book was almost completely filled. The last filled page had a quick, yet page filling portrait sketch of Marshall himself. Other pages filled with portraits of multiple people. Some he’d recognize and some strangers.

He flipped through the pages and raised a brow at her statement.
“Never go back? What do you mean?”

She nodded no, pretending not to hear his statement.
“So what do you think? Of the pieces?” She asked referring to the art in her black sketch journal
