The Blonde looked at her with anguish in her eyes, “You can’t be serious?!” She exclaimed

Monty was asleep next to her.

As she looked over at him. Watching him sleep she moved out of bed. When she got up she looked around the room. It seemed different. Cleaner? Homier? She thought.
But she moved into his bathroom and stripped of her jeans and shirt and everything. She turned on the shower to a hot temp and stepped in. She winced when she hit her tail against the bathroom wall. She turned around and looked at it. She looked shocked. But enamored of it.

Monty slowly woke up and looked around for Jackie.

She held we tail delicately in her hands.
As her hair became soaked she noticed her hair was black tipped. She panicked. Her eyes widened. But she put it aside. And washing her hair. She hummed softly. Her body felt different. Stronger, although she did feel some exhaustion still.

Monty went back to sleep, his tail curling up to his side.

As she finished she reached for a towel drying herself off then she stepped out.
When she wiped the fog off the mirror she looked shocked.
Her skin seemed clearer. Her skin slightly darker. Her hair, platinum with black tips. She looked different to herself although the same.
She then walked out. Her tail flicking behind her. She saw Monty and sighed. Going to his side she kissed his forehead.
“Thank you my love” she said softly.

He woke up again and smiled before kissing her.

She was surprised and caught off guard as he pulled her into a kiss. She smiled softly and laid on too of him. Her tail swayed seemingly to match her uplifted mood.

He deepened the kiss as wrapped his arms around her. He soon pulled away and smiled at her. “You know I’ve missed your sweet voice.”

She laid on top of him. Smiling down on him. She kissed him again. “I-I missed you t-too. Ev-everything” she said sweetly. Blushing deeply.

He grinned and nibbled at her neck.

She giggled and smiled. “Hey, I just woke up. Sl-slow down l-lover b-boy” she said sweetly.

“Do I have to,” he whimpered playfully.

She giggled and nodded, “I think I need to go out do something? What about moving? Don’t I need my stuff here? Clothes, computer, etcetera.” She explained

“Your family anyway took care of that. I spent all of yesterday getting everything set.”

“R-really? That explains why it’s so cleaned up! You did all that for me?” She asked. Kissing him deeply again. She grinned. “So it’s all here?” She added

He nodded before kissing her back.

He waited.

As she started to leave her father caught her. “What are you doing?” He asked sternly.
She spoke, “I’m going out-” she was cut off as he smacked her.
“Not tonight. I need you to stay here. I’m going out. And your mother is going with me.” He explained.
But before he could get another word out she was going towards the door. Not wanting to fight. She sprinted out before he could catch her.
She hurried and pulled out her phone calling Marshall.

Marshall was laying in his bed when he felt his phone vibrate against the bed.
He raised a brow and sat up.

He saw her name appear on his home screen as he had saved it immediately after the both of them had started texting. He couldn’t help but shake this uneasy feeling that nagged at his insides.

He quickly picked up the phone.
“Jinx?” He asked.
He half expected her to cancel on him for some reason. They still were at a rocky start but he was glad her tutoring was beginning to benefit him.

She held the phone close hearing her father get in his car. And the engine rev. She was in tears. Her face imprinted with her fathers hand print.
She ran, her talking choppy.
“M-Marshall?” She asked. Tears streaked her face. “C-can you come get me pl-please?” She asked in a panicked voice.
She hoped he’d say yes. Begging he would, as she could hear a car speed In her direction she ran faster.
Till she made it to the nearby elementary school and ran towards the playground to hide.

Marshall immediately slipped out of bed.
Sensing some sort of danger in her voice he shoved on his shoes and made a run out of his house and towards his car.
Turning it on he zoomed to where he thought she’d be… her house.

“Where are you?” He asked as he zoomed down the street.

She was crying. “I-I’m b-by the Elementary sc-school” she spoke stuttering loudly.
She hugged her bag to herself. Hiding at the back entry. Standing against a wall. She breathed heavily. “Hurry please!” She cried.

“On my way.”
He said and sped his way there. He was there in the front of the school in a matter of moments.

She saw his car zoom towards the school as tears streaked her face. She sprinted towards his car. And as she reached the passenger door she opened it. A red swollen handprint and cheek stung her face. It was noticeable. But she had her head bowed.
