“Alright then..” He smiled softly at her and started to walk out, leading her to his house, he was limping very slightly most the way there though.
Jinx noticed the limp but said nothing for a while till they were almost there, “so what happened to your leg?” She asked him. Staying by his side to watch him periodically
He stayed silent most the walk, raising an eyebrow as she mentioned his leg. “My leg..? Oh, My leg got cut a bit earlier, slicing apart some of the bone too with how deep that thing went…But I’ll be fine…” When they reached his house he opened the door for her, it was a wide two story building.
“That doesn’t sound or look like your heeling at all. I know wounds and tending them and it doesn’t seem to be healing if you’re limping. Let alone walking” she explained and looked from the leg up to him as she walked inside. “I know it’s weird to ask but can I take a look at it?” She asked
He zhrugged and limped inside as he closed the door behind him, sitting down on the couch and taking off the robe, he had shorts and a shirt on under the robe and there was an obvious open cut that had glowing red blood that wasnt spilling, his leg was covered in tattoos and the cut split up some of them.
She sighed seeing the cut. Looking closely at it she looked over the glowing blood having that she’d taken off her glasses. She looked at the tattoos as they caught her eye. Then up to him, “well this just gets curiouser and curiouser. It looks like the wound maybe slightly infected? But I mean it’s your call. I just don’t this it looks right. And the way your limping. It may not have heeled correctly if at all?” She said questioning herself almost. She didn’t want to dictate him she had no right to as it was. And she soon pulled away and slid her glasses back on.
He shrugged. “Eh, I don’t feel the wound…And all my wounds heal but they take quite a bit of time with connecting the tattoos and restoring my blood n’ everything, my body is pretty messed up though so this isn’t much of a surprise to me.”
She looked confused by his explanation and sighed. Sitting next to him. “What do you mean connecting and restoring?” She asked. Then turned to look at him, “what are you?” She added. With a small look of worry, confused as to who he was now. Though it also made her curious to find out what was going on.
“I am something, everything, and nothing, which is actually saying a lot if you understood what I am.” He looked at the wound and sighed at he traced the wound with a finger
She was still lost and overwhelmed now by his statement. “That didn’t explain anything honestly. But as long as you’re not going to kill me or eat me or sell me for something then I think I’m fine with that.” She said with a half smile and sighed.
He chuckled softly. “Nah, I have enough money to get anything and I don’t feed off of live human meat, and you’re not a target and you’re not a prick so you’re good on the killing part.”
She have a dramatic exhale with her hand to chest, “oh thank god!” She teased and smiled. “Well hey are you good for the night? I should get going. Thinking about it, I’m still a stranger and so are you. So this must be weird…” She said referring to her being in his house. She soon up and smiled.
He nodded softly. “Yeah…” He shrugged and sighed. “At least tell me your name first.”
“Jinx is my nickname, that’s all your getting for now. If you need to find me or want to find me go to the bar and ask for me! They’ll tell you who to call or where to go!” She said to him with a playful wink. And then went to the door. “I’ll catch you on the flip side!!!” She said and left the home.
He nodded with a smile as he listened to her, chuckling at the wink and waving when she left, examining the cut.
She smiled after she left this was the most adventure she’d had in a long while. And she walked home in silence and she plugged her headphones in and listened to music on her walk.
