He returned with clothes he bought off a whim. Many of them too big for her
She remained curled up and eyes closed as she slowly woke up more and more. She heard him come in and sighed.
“I got you clothes.”
She looked up from the blanket and saw him holding a bag of clothes. She didn’t say anything. But looking at him she could barely see out the eye that was bruised. She sat up still curled in a blanket. She looked at him. Her bruise practically black. Though the swelling wasn’t as bad as it had been.
“Hungry?”
She sighed, “yea…..I’m a bit hungry.” Though she lied she was starving this was about her second day without food.
She felt horrible. Every bone tinged and was sore. Her good eye red from crying. She stayed seated though thinking it was a better idea then walking around. He nodded and placed the bag of clothes beside her.
Marshall was a better cook than he led on. It wasnt long before the house smelled of fresh egg omelettes and toast.
She smelt the air taking in the sent she sighed and stood up. Looking through the clothes she picked out nice pieces she knew would fit. Though part of her wanted to stay curled in sweats and a shirt. Which were In the bag. She looked at Marshall. Her stomach growled, and she gulped. “Marshmellow? Are we going anywhere today?” She asked in a quiet voice.
