“He’s abusive and assaults you. The cops will have our side.”
She nodded and stayed curled up watching him start to cook she didn’t want to move. Feeling her body become heavy.
Moments later he returned with the soup
She saw the soup and looked at him, “thank you” she said softly and slowly took a bite
He nods and feeds her.
She sighed, “I can feed myself” she said softly and kissed his cheek her lips a little rough from her split lip
“I want to help you”
She kissed his cheek again “thank you” she whispered
He nods.
She slowly starts to let him feed her. And she ate slowly careful not to rush anything.
He made sure not to spill anything while feeding her. He made sure she was comfortable for her bath that he planned she’d have before resting.
She ate slowly and stayed curled up. Leaning against him occasionally In exhaustion she smiled weakly. “I’m sorry I’m just so tired” she said softly and after eating her soup
“Its okay”
She sighed and pulled away curling up, she looked down. “Thank you for this…. Do I need to eat it all?” She asked and looked up at him with a soft expression
“No”
She smiled and nodded, “I don’t want to push eating too fast…..ya know?” She said softly and went to hug him tightly around his neck.
He nodded and hugged her, wincing slightly at the pain in his hand. He slowly pulled away and placed the half eated bowl of soup on the coffee table.
“Let’s get you cleaned up.” He whispered and helped her up.
She pulled away and looked wide eyed, “I forgot about your hand!” She paused and grabbed it and examined it “we need to fix this first” she said worried more about his one bruise and cut then her own many.
He shook his head.
“Your dads face is like a brick” he chuckled. “But it’ll be okay. I think your injuries are far more worse.” He sighed solemnly.She nodded no “can I at least ask you to take care of it after my bath?” She asked him and scooted closer. She needed help walking
She held his hand in hers though delicately worried about his handHe kissed her head and smiled.
“Sure… but you promise to get some rest afterwards right?” He asked as he began to help her up and lead her towards the bathroom. He could still feel her slightly shaking from the shock.
She smiled softly as he kissed her forehead. “I promise though okay?” She asked and feeling her legs and body shake as they walked towards the bathroom she smiled softly, “uh….. Are you going to school tomorrow?” She asked him.
