“It’s been an incredibly long time. And how I spend my time is more than snacking on fruit and wine.” She playfully pouted as she crossed her arms.
Jinx looked at her and smiled before dropping her bag next to the bed, she sat next to rose her platinum eyes looking over her. “Oh yes totally And how I got in is simple, you didn’t have anyone to watch your windows” she teased her
“At least you’re someone I know, otherwise I would’ve had the maid take you to my cellar and lock up there.” She chuckled. “Anyway, why are you here? And at such a random time?”
“I need a place to hide. And hey, I’ve seen your cellar…..and I do not belong down there! I got into trouble you see my darling?” She asked
“What trouble did you manage to find this time,” she asked with a snicker as she put her robe on. “You can explain while I set you up in one of my guest bedrooms.
She laid on Roses bed, “Why can’t I stay in here with you my love?” She asked and Took off her jacket and scarf. “If I can stay with you I will tell you what I did” she teased.
Rose playfully crawled over her. “Fine, but you’re eating snacks with me before I fall asleep. And I need someone to cuddle.”
Jinx smiled with a tint of a smirk. She caught her arms around Rose’s waist and pulled her on top of her, “that sounds like a deal to me!” She said. “So any new boys, girls, demons, in your life?” She asked.
“I’m afraid not. I’m as single as an American penny. Why do you ask? Hmm?” She leaned in closer.
Jinx smirked and leaned in, “why ask such a silly question my love?” She asked before wrapping her fingers through Rose’s hair, their lips moving closer.
“Maybe a certain someone is teasing me, or flirting with me,” she purred. “It would be a shame of their efforts weren’t acknowledged.”
Jinx rolled over and pinned Rose down at her wrists and straddling her waist, “It would be a shame for sure my darling Rose.” She said to her.
A visible blush spread across her cheeks as she was pinned. “Oh? It seems I have a dominant in my midst~ But I was promised you’d eat snacks with me.” She pouted again.
Jinx then slowly moved her robe some and looked back up to Roses eyes, “mmmmm just one moment” she said before raspberrieing the women’s stomach to make her laugh.
Rose started laughing. “Hey! No fair, that tickles!” She began squirming uncontrollably.
Jinx smiled wide and soon lifted her head up before pulling rose onto her lap so rose was wrapped around her waist and jinx then grabbed the strawberries and popped one into Rose’s mouth. Then kissed her cheek. “It was supposed to be unfair” she said sweetly and with a sultry voice.
She giggled a bit as she ate the strawberry, then swallowed. “You’re more clever than I remember,” she purred. “Care for some wine?”
Jinx kissed the women in her arms, “I’d love some. Then I’ll explain what’s going on” she said to Rose.
Rose took the glass of wine from her nightstand and handed it to Jinx. “It’s from one of my older bottles of wine so you better start talking.”
Jinx gave only a partial smile as she took the glass. Then took a large sip. Once she swallowed she looked at Rose. “So I was doing a job at the bar, you know?” She asked, referring to her job at the European cafe. “Well some guys came in…..” she paused
Rose smiled softly as she nodded.while taking another strawberry. “Take your time dear, we have a long life ahead of us.”
“…..well these guys somehow knew about my whole being a nephilim thing. Now they’re following me. Hunting me for my wings….and something about me being a lot of money. I didn’t stay long enough to find out why or who. So I booked it and have been running for about 5 months. Haven’t really stopped which is why I found the gateway to get to your place, and now I’m here…..” she said and drank more of the wine.
“I’m sorry to hear that. Well you’re already welcome for as long as you want. And if they come here, they’ll half to deal with me and Titan. Monty or my brothers too if they pay us a visit.”
She looked at Rose and picked up a strawberry eating it quickly and kissing Rose, “You are the best. But I apologize popping in without warning and for bringing this into your home.” She said softly.
“It’s fine love, I don’t mind anymore I’m passed that. Just as long you’re safe.” She kissed her back sweetly.
Jinx held her cheek and smiled, “but I have something for you” she said softly and moved rose onto the bed off her lap. And moved to her bag pulling out a small velvet box.
Rose watched her quietly and looked at the box as she sat up. “What’s that hun?”
She handed it to rose and smiled, “let’s just say a beautiful piece of gold for a beautiful demon…” she teased. Inside the box a gold Celtic necklace with crimson stones inlaid in the chain.
Rose hugged her tightly. “Thank you so much Jinx, I love it!! It reminds me of the time I ventured through Ireland. It’s just so lovely.”
“Well I thought it would be nice on you” she said softly and took it from the box and slipped it around her neck clasping the necklace. “So yea…” she said softly and kissed Rose’s neck.
She started to blush softly. “It’s the thought that counts love~ I should repay you, this gift is extraordinary.” She leaned close to her and kissed her passionately. “Hopefully my choker matches, lord knows what would happen if I stopped wearing it.”
Jinx nodded as she kicked off her shoes and socks, “My darling, you shouldn’t repay me cause it is my gift to you. And let me add your choker and the necklace look great together.” She said and then laid onto the bed taking another strawberry into her mouth.
Rose laid next to her. “Thank you Jinx. This means a lot.” She wrapped her arms around her waist and hugged herself close to Jinx.
Jinx blushed for once. It spread across her cheeks and she hugged rose tightly and brushed her hair with her fingers. “Always my love, now let’s sleep hmmmm?” She asked
“Yes, let’s do that.” Rose began to relax closer to Jinx. She purred lightly until she started to fall asleep. The maid walked by and closed the door to the bedroom after taking the dishes.
Jinx held rose to her chest waiting for her to fall asleep before she herself fell asleep. Giving a nod to the maid, in thanks for taking the dishes. And she herself nodded off.
Rose burped her face into Jinx’s shoulder. Her dreams were calmer this night, and by morning Rose would be thankful that the company of her new love kept the nightmares at bay.
In the morning before Rose could awaken and hurried to find the kitchen. She quickly made red velvet French toast and smoothies with wine in it. When she finished she grabbed the tray and turned to head towards Rose’s room.
Rose was grabbing the pillow tightly. Her phone showed she had a text message from someone.
Jinx was walking into the room when she saw Rose’s phone go off. She set the tray on the bed side table trying not to wake rose. And clicked the screen button to look at who the message was from trying not to snoop too much. But curiosity was too much to fight.
There were some messages from different. One from her son about how much missed her, then another from her husband saying he’d be back with the kids before Christmas.
Jinx looked at the messages and the senders without unlocking the screen and went wide eyed. Jinx had been gone for a while but this was such a shock and her heart pounded.
She breathed out and sighed, figures she’d do this to herself. She thought and sat on her edge of the bed head down.
