Rose was running quickly. She was running out of breath, but being caught was the last thing she wanted. Monty ran along side her ready to guard his queen as much as her night was. White knights on horseback were following suit. “Jinx, is there we can hide,” Rose asked breathlessly. “We can’t keep running!”
@my-rps-jinx-jackieJinx turned her head and grabbed Monty to push him back, “in the kitchen there is a door in the pantry that leads into a tunnel. GO! Run……” she grunted as a white knight came to her face to face, sword against sword. “Go Rose! Monty take her and Jackie!” She ordered, “I’ll catch up!” She added.
Jackie gasped for breath in her tight dress as she was next to rose, in the party turned war zone.
“I don’t understand. My castle came under seize for no reason. I haven’t done anything in a while,” Rose said softly. Monty opened the door to the tunnel as fast as he was able before leading them through. “Those knights belonged to the white queen, I recognize them,” He said with a sign. “Are you both alright?”
Jinx fought fast and with every swing of her blade the white knights moved backwards. But as she was trying to tame the army one came from her blind spot and his blade sliced into her leg. She gasped, almost screamed in pain before turning around and killing him. She realized then she’d have to start moving to catch up.
Jackie looked at Monty, “I……I….I’m fine, but what about Jinx?!” She asked gasping for breath.
“I’m not sure what we can do. I’m the last thing guarding you two, but if I went out to attack with Jinx and heal her you’d be left without my protection. Do one of you know how to use an axe? Or some sort of weapon?”
Jackie nodded softly “I can”, to her husband, “Monty….. what is happening?” She asked.
Jinx got through an entry way and closed the doors behind her before she propped them closed with chairs from the room. She then hobbled to the Kitchen as fast as she could ripping part of her top and wrapping the fabric around her leg. They had been in the midst of the after party of her Knighting ceremony. So she’d changed out of her armor. She breathed out she had about a minute before she had to move again.
“Nobody knows, none of this kingdom’s people have a clue why the white queen would attack so suddenly. Not even the rest of the people in Wonderland.” He turned to bandersnatch form. “Climb on, we can meet Jinx at the end of the tunnel.”
Her moment of quiet was suddenly gone. She tightened the bandage and started to sprint. Her leg hurt so much so she tried her hardest to not scream. It wasn’t just a normal cut she could feel it. And within moments her mind couldn’t focus on the things around her. She made it to the passage and as she entered she shut the entrance behind her and she hobbled her way towards the end of the tunnel. Breathing heavy from her run. As she started to see a light in front of her she followed it.
“I see Jinx,” Rose shouted excitedly before running to her side. “Are you alright love, how badly are you hurt?” She wrapped Jinx’s arm around her shoulder before proceeding to help her over to Monty and Jackie.
She smiled to rose and wobbled next to her as they worked towards Monty, “I’m fine…..I think?….something was on their swords though. It’s making the cut a little more painful then I originally thought.” She chuckled softly, then winced.
Monty walked over and gently pushed the DIY bandage aside with his paw before beginning to lick her wound.
Jinx watched him move her bandage and lick it. She knew very well it would heal her but her leg still hurt at the moment. “Aahhh…..Jesus, it hurts” she said in a groan. She looked at Jackie and Rose “are you both alright?” She asked.
Jackie nodded “in fine thanks to you and Monty” she said to her.
“I care more about you Jinx,” Rose said. “Hopefully we can figure it out. Hopefully it isn’t poison,” Monty said before resting at Jackie’s feet.
Jackie knelt down and brushed his fur. Jinx slowly sat on the ground and looked st them then to her lover, “Rose I’ll be fine no matter what, I have to be to protect you” she spoke to rose. “We can’t stay long here we have to keep moving, I have a place for us to run” she said softly.
“Get on Monty, I can run alongside him while we escape,” she said softly.
Jinx sighed but did not argue with Rose, “Yes my love.” She said but not before taking Jackie by the Hand and helping her onto Monty’s back.
Suddenly Jinx could hear the voices of the knights. And a light from whence they’d just been and she looked at Rose and Monty, “We need to go now” she said with a firm voice.
Rose nodded and started running. Monty ran next to her, huffing a bit as they ran. “Lead the way Jinx.”
“Make it into the forest and a little ways farther you’ll see a black tree with orange/yellow leaves take a left there, I’ll give more direction when we get closer” she said. Tightening her leg bandage as they rode.
Monty nodded and ran on to the tree then turned left like he was told. Rose quickly tried to catch up.
“Okay there’s gonna be a large pair of rocks in a few minutes and go between them you’ll find a hole. Stole there” she explained and saw Jackie ducking her head, she wasn’t a good rider on horses or in most forms of transportation and her husband’s back as a bandersnatch wasn’t any better so jinx pulled her close and coddled her to comfort the blonde.
They nodded and eventually slowed down so Rose could catch up. Rose spotted the rocks and pointed. “Those rocks?”
She patter montys back and Jackie took full hold of him to keep balanced as Jinx slipped off Monty.
She limped some the cut was healed mostly but for some reason something was causing pain still. She walked forward, “Yes but just to be safe stay by my side Rose. Monty and Jackie stay behind me.” She spoke and unsheathed her sword. In close detail it was dark in color tinted with red. The hilt of the sword decorated in red details to match the dark brown sheath she had been given to protect it. She walked between the rocks and could see the hole.
Monty stepped closer to them as Rose remained by Jinx side.
As she moved towards the whole a man suddenly arose from it. He had sandy drown hair short but styled. He was dressed to impress for sure. And his smile clean and inviting, “Now Now now Jinx, put down the weapon! You should focus on introducing me to your lovely lady friends he spoke in almost a sensual tone with a touch a tease mixed in. And he observed Rose and Jackie closely and then finally Monty, “now won’t you join me for tea?” And Jinx nodded “we would love it Dalton” she spoke with a smile of relief and waved them to follow.
Monty followed obediently with Rose walking next to them. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Dalton, my name is Rose,” the queen said with a shirt bow.
Jackie smiled with a small blush and then linked her arm around Monty’s. “it’s quite nice to meet you” she said and Dalton smiled. When they all entered it was a nice modernistic cottage, beneath the ground. The fire was going in the white stone fireplace and there was a table set up. “Would you like some tea? Some cake?” He asked and Jinx spoke “some tea would be nice” Jackie sighed, “some water or tea please” she asked and Dalton smiled.
“I would like cake and tea,” Rose said. “Do you have Earl Grey,” Monty asked.
Dalton looked at Monty, “earl grey, lemon zinger, mint, green, orange, passion, peppermint, and others I have every kind of tea you can imagine!” He explained and grabbed a couple tea pots and then teacups with saucers and setting down sugar and cream and then finally grabbed the two cakes he had stored away and set them down they were already cut and put plates with them. “Oh please do serve yourselves” he spoke with excitement then grabbed jinx by her arm. Kissing her cheek and dragging her away.
Jinx looked back at Rose and smiled some before limping away.
Rose tried to follow Jinx. “Where are you taking her? Why can’t we talk out here?”
“Calm down Rose, she’ll be fine,” Monty said.Jinx looked at Dalton as they talked behind closed doors.
Jackie went up to rose, “She’ll be fine.” She said softly and rubbed her hand before grabbing a small cookie she’d found sitting on a small plate next to the cake, she didn’t remember being there. She took a bite and then another and another, it was sweet but suddenly she started to feel a twist in her stomach slight nauseousness overcame her. She was wobbling some. “Oh….what’s going on?” She spoke softly.
“I hope it isn’t that growing or shrinking food you keep finding, I can’t wrap my head around how you manage to find it so easily,” Monty replied as he took his tea and sipped it.
She started to shrink. She felt her form fitted dark green dress start to loosen around her and she gave a nervous laugh. Suddenly she was as short as the stooles of the table and then more so she gasped, “Monty! I need clothes to fit now!” She yelled to him.
Dalton suddenly appeared he’d pintched the bridge of his nose, “you know that was supposed to be for me!” He sighed, and went to a small cabinet and opened it it was full of dresses and pants and skirts and tops of various size, “Monty due look for your wife a suitable attire for our adventure.” He said to the man letting Jackie hide in the fabric of her dress.
Monty picked up Jackie in her dress and walked to the selection that was presented to him. He soon handed her a cute dress with a long enough skirt for her to run easily in.
Jackie smiled at the dress, it was small enough to fit her and she smiled at the silvery blue simple dress she would be able to run in. She slid into it and then looked at Monty, “will you pick me up please my love?” She asked him.
Dalton then smiled and moved back to the room he and Jinx were in, “Rose anything you want or need including a change of clothes will be in that cabinet, don’t want to ruin your beautiful dress” he said before shutting the door.
Monty chuckled. “Of course.” He knelt down and carefully picked her up. “You’re so much cuter when you’re small like this.”
Rose nodded. “Thank you.”
She looked up at him, “I’m not cute Monty!” She said to him. Crossing her arms.
Jinx was talking to Dalton and when they’d finished and walked back out Jinx was in all black, pants, shirt, and shoes. She now wore a sheath on her waist holding her sword. Her hair braided loosely. She wasn’t even limping, she hugged Dalton, “Thank you darling, everything you’re doing is greatly needed and doesn’t go without thanks.” She said to him. Seemingly not focusing on the others in the room for that moment.
