Dalton look at her, she was tied to a chair. “Well I don’t really have a good reason to let you go now, do I?” He asked. His eyes looked over the woman before him.
Aurora could see the car heading for the highway. Unable to move her body, she couldn’t try to open the door or loosen the bindings on her. But at least she was able to think and stay awake. When he spoke to her, she glanced over at him though she couldn’t turn her head. She then continued to look ahead since she couldn’t talk back to him.
“Honestly. I guess on a plus side it’s not like I’m planning on taking advantage of you……” he spoke and then kind of cursed under his breath at his own awkwardness. He was either this smooth and one of the most highly requested men for hire or he was a stumbling awkward guy in his 20’s.
If she wasn’t drugged and able to move, she would of given him an odd look by his comment. She just kept her focus ahead of her, trying to look around the best way she could to see where they were going.
“Anyways. Not my point…..I generally try to stay out of bounty hunting people….mainly people who I’m not sure deserve it. But honestly, when you’re paid well for a job you can’t really say no….” he said in a softer tone.
She tried to give him a sad glance with his other comment. Knowing there was no way to change his mind, especially when money was involved. She would have to wait and see who was the one that paid him to capture her.
They were nearing the meeting site. And it is very rare when he’d question his choices. But this women whoever or whatever she was, did not give off the vibe and description of those who deceived her to him when he was hired.
Getting near the building, Aurora could feel her two hearts beating fast in her chest. Even though she couldn’t show it, she had fear in her eyes. She feared that once she stepped into the building, she would never come out of there again.
As they pulled up, it looked as though no one was around yet. As he parked. He then slipped out of the worn in leather seat and walked over to the passenger side. He knew she was out of it enough if he cut her leg bonds she wouldn’t get far. And so he did. And helped her from the seat. He helped her walk into the building. And there in the middle of the room say a chair where he sat Aurora in it.
