Falling From Heights | Harry Potter AU | Closed RP

Cyrus worked in Hogwarts, in the Charms departments taking over classes for Professor Flitwick if the poor guy had other things to do. He was one of the recent addition to the Hogwarts staff in the recent years and he had taken on classes before as an understudy to Flitwick. He was also joining with Madam Hootch and Professor Sprout to help with Hufflepuff House’s Quidditch team.

He was informed by Mcgonagall that the new class he was to handle was a pretty prone to loud outbursts and arguments, especially one child, Jackie. He had set himself up in the classroom and used several levitation spells to move books around the classroom, sorting them by alphabetical order in the shelves and along the tables.

By the time he was done, the first few students had begun streaming in. “Ah, perfect, please, take your seats, it’s free seating of course.”

Cyrus nodded at whatever Hooch said before excusing himself to jog over to the Hufflepuff team.

“Hello you lot, all dressed up and ready?” he asked and tilted his head when he noticed Jackie. “She, the star beater of Hufflepuff hmm?” He asked her and smiled warmly.

Jackie jumped and turned around. What was he doing here? She thought. OH CRAP He’s the new coach. She remembered.

As he asked her this she smirked some and looked up at him with a look of pride in her green eyes. “Th-that I am” She said resting her bat on her shoulder one of the guys cheered for her after coming up and shaking her shoulders in excitement.

“Hehe, relax, just your coach, not the opposition. I think from what I hear, our team is in great hands!” He said and smiled when the others came up to cheer for her.

“I-I am re-relaxed.” She spoke. “I l-live with a st-stutter Professor” she explained many people assumed she was anxious or on edge due to the stutter. But she just naturally spoke that way. “W-what are we learning today?” She asked him and walked up closer to him.
