Elsa had been requested to come to the docks and look at all the inventory from a new trade partner’s ship. She agreed to it. Wanting to make sure the supplies they’d received were what she’d signed for. As she approached the dock she looked at the ship. She had her ambassador at her side with his list in hand to check off all the shipment items.
“Right.” He said smiling back. He blushed at her beauty.
She looked over him closely before she finally put space between them. Then exited the room. “I’m sure we can get lunch together” she said simply looking back at him.
He nodded and followed her out of the room. He said nothing else for a little while.
When she found a staff member wandering down the hall she stopped him and made sure he had the cooks prepare their lunch. Specifically so it was what Beast boy had ordered. She’d noticed as she did so how best boy had grown quiet and she peered over at him
“What?” He asked her raising an eyebrow. Elsa seemed to be very interested in him. More than people usually were in this timeline.
Elsa just commented, “you went so quiet I was just trying to check on you. See if I could tell if something was wrong” she said. “My apologies” she added.
“Its ok.” He said as he followed her. “So you’ve lived in Arrendelle your whole life?”
She nodded at his question. “Yes, I never gave myself the opportunity to do anything such as traveling. After an accident with my sister Anna, I-I hid myself from the outside. I always stayed behind closed doors. And was alone.” She explained and hugged her arms to herself
“I know how that feels. I hurt poachers who hunted me and while I don’t feel regret for harming them. I do feel regret for acting in anger.” He said omitting the fact that he had killed them. These days of course he refrained from killing them.
“You’ve killed….” she mumbled. For some reason it didn’t bother her. “Well I can assure you no poachers will come for you here” she said and turned to face him. She grabbed his hand and squeezed it reassuringly.
He returned the squeeze. “That doesn’t bother you?” He asked surprised.
“It should but it doesn’t.” She said and gave a small awkward smile.
“Dare I ask why?” He wondered why it should bother anyone that he did what he did in the interests of self preservation as well as anger.
“Here in Arendelle, we do kill for food it’s part of nature. The butcher is where you get that from or you hunt yourself. But poachers. We keep trade with them minimal if at all. And you being of the person you are, and people hunting you it seems only fair to fight back or to do what you’ve had to. As horrifying as it might be” she explained
He nodded accepting her words. “Yeah that’s true. There is nothing wrong with hunting for food.”
She smiled and then realized she still held his hand and she laughed awkwardly and pulled her hand back clasping it with her other hand.
BB blushed as well feeling rather awkward as well. He knew he had to be careful with the queen.
She looked down and looked at his pet and smiled softly. Then looked back at B.B., “Ready to eat? They may be close to done” She spoke up
He nodded. “Yes I am. Are you?”
She nodded in return and waved for him to follow her as they went towards the dining room.
