*goes to bed for five years*
Look, guys, I know this might sound hella greedy but when ya see art you like, you always reblog it. If ya gonna like it, reblog it (even after your post limit, reblog it when it’s done). Likes aren’t gonna do shit because not everyone is gonna go through your likes and notice a piece of artwork. Artists won’t get noticed if their art is just liked up and never actually shared amongst followers.
Always reblog artwork you like
Please, if you like it, reblog it. No one sees your likes. When you get a note that someone liked an art piece you almost think, man they liked it, but not enough to let other people see it.
the same goes with cosplay, writing, or anything that people create
Everyone who Art’s needs to have this, or something akin to this on there blog.
blease
Isn’t this the truth?
it’s hard to say. Everyone’s interest is changing and growing more different nowadays. Everyone has a different aesthetic. Sometimes people love the complexity and there are people are love things to be simple, easy to follow.
it’s a struggle with what people want vs. what you want; they always go back and forth but eventually they meet at the middle. Maybe majority of artists overthink with what they create, it’s when you give too much that doesn’t get much reblogs or likes.
it’s hard to tell ourselves that sometimes the simplest of things give bigger impact depending on what story you are telling. i don’t know, that’s just my opinion.
please do reblog if you enjoy the artwork or any creative content, especially cause the tagging system is H E L L. But also artists, don’t let likes/reblogs be the only reason you are valid; yes, the artistic journey is so long, and slow, but you’ll get there, just keep creating and sharing your talent ^^
A happy medium can always be leaving comments, too. If you like a post but don’t wanna reblog for any reason, leaving a comment (like the kind some people leave in the tags — s/o to y’all by the way because that’s such a cool thing to find) can be the next best thing.
I know I legit just reblogged this, but I thought of another point that may be relevant: if you like something of an artists, consider going through their other posts as well. Most track their work with a tag (such as “my art”). I can’t speak for everyone, but I’d say a majority of artists don’t find it weird at all when people “stalk” them (this isn’t Instagram after all…you can like older stuff!). Doing this further shows an artist that you’re interested/invested in what they have to offer. It’s the difference between “I like that one drawing you posted” and “I like YOU and your content”
