A merchant ship docks in the Arrendalle port. The ports were full of merchants…and people seeking the creatures rumored to recently inhabit the mountains. Many have gone missing.

One of the passengers exits the ship wearing a simple traveler’s garb and inly a calvary saber on his side. His bag seems to be the heaviest part about him. If one were to go through it, they’d find weapons and armor that makes Arrendale’s seem cheap.

He enters the city, lighting a cigarette.

She nods, “I do. And that’s fine. It just means Arendelle will be in a better place. And it’s not like I’m sending them away from home. We try not to become involved with the wars. We are a neutral zone” she explained.

“A good philosophy. Just remember no plan survives first contact.” He lights a cigarette as they enter a courtyard.

She looks at the cigarette and this time soaked it with slush forcing it to fall to the ground and become to soggy for use. “You’ve got to quit that” she said to him.

“But not in a single day. It takes time!” He hides his pack of cigarettes. “You didn’t argue with me having one after bedding you.”

She glared. “The first night you got here. It was different. You weren’t someone I felt anneed to love…..and protect. Now it’s different.” She said. The bell tower shook as the ringing began. Drawing the townsfolk into the courtyard of the castle.

Crispin twitched slightly, “A signal for town meetings?” His had to close the outside noise receptors on his helmet to avoid his equine ears from being hurt.

She looked up at him, “I’m sorry. We are a bit traditional.” She said to him and suddenly people started to gather including RWBY and Anna who joined her other side and Christoph

Crispin stood beside Elsa, standing at At Ease: arms behind his back, legs apart. His helmet is now on.

Elsa looked to the people, “Hello Everyone.” She said. Many of not all bowed at her intro. “Today I bring you here in asking, I need your support. You all. I am looking to start to build a stronger defense for Arendelle. I need people who want….and can join. People willing to dedicate their time to protecting our home. To protecting the ones we love.” She said. “I have with me, our new captain of our military, and guards. To help us build more and become stronger. The threats outside our beloved Arendelle have begun to invade, to threaten us. And we can no longer sit on the outside of the world’s issues. So what I ask of you……is to accept and join. I will be starting a draft within the next few months. Once approved by heads of the court, and outlined. But I hope many who want to do more….will do more. To protect us.” She said loudly in a confident and regal voice her expression serious but humble and her eyes full of passion.

Crispin looks over the sea of people and notes how he’s going to have to literally work the volunteers and conscripts to their limit…and shatter those limits.

When Elsa had finished and answered a various range of questions she looked around and gave a nod, “I thank you all for coming. Thank you” She said and bowed. The townspeople bowed and waved and then dispersed. Elsa looked at Crispin. “Sorry. I probably just stressed you out didn’t I?” She asked and rubbed his arm with her hand.

“Nope. We’re going to have conscription be mandatory from age thirteen to fourty.”

“Thirteen?” She asked. “I’d think 15 or 16….” She said to him.

“I joined Atlas Armed forces at around thirteen. I turned out fine.”

“But this isn’t Atlas ……” she said to him. “We wil talk about this more as we get it together and written down.” She said and the guards opened the doors to allow them back inside.

THE NEXT TWO MONTHS(There’d been several Grimm attacks and small Faunus troops. But since the last attack on the dust mine things had been quiet. Elsa and Crispin both worked to build a few new creeds. RWBY helped where it was needed. Anna and Christoph got engaged. Things had settled into a rhythm…..)

(Present) TWO MONTHS AFTER dust mine attack….

Crispin groaned as he tried to wake up from Cristoph’s pre-bachelor party. He stumbled out of the room after getting dressed. “Fuckin’ shit.” His accent is slurry and he has a huge hangover.

Elsa had taken the girls to the ice palace in the mountains high on the North mountain top. Although their wedding a few days away. They decided to celebrate early. So the girls had had drinks and did plenty of fun things without having to get to crazy. They’d be heading back to the castle shortly since they’d spent the weekend away. Elsa just hoped the guys hadn’t gotten too crazy.

Yang looks at Elsa, “Not that I’m not digging your wardrobe, but what gives with the change? The fancy duds were knocking lover boy on his ass…something only I tend to do.”

Elsa looked up at Yang. “My Armor needs to be repaired and cleaned….it’s a process.” She said to her. Anna completely unaware also added, “Plus our armor gets sent to a smith on a neighboring island not far from here. Due to the type of metal used. It’s a heavier material then most armor.” She explained. Elsa breathed in relief Anna pitched in. “Plus since I’ve been working on creeds, and speaches and letters to neighboring allies. I haven’t had to be out fighting as much. Though I do like it. And Crispin and Weiss have been helping me to hone my sword skills more” she said to Yang.

Yang seemed to accept the answer, chuckling. “Between someone who was an Atlas officer and a Huntress in training…you sore yet?”

“Not as sore as I thought I’d be” She joked back. “Surprisingly, I’ve think I’ve gotten more of a handle on it lately and been progressing decently. Although switching from morning trainings to early afternoon has been a bit difficult.” She said. Trying to avoid the fact she’d been dealing with morning sickness. She’d explained to everyone else that she had been staying up late working on paperwork and making sure Anna’s wedding plans were all set. But that wasn’t really why she needed the extra time.

“That’s because he’s afraid he’s gonna go to far. Ruby’s done some hand to hand training with him. He got too into it…broke her arm and stabbed her.”

Ruby nodded, “He distanced himself from me. It’s like a bakery with the best cookies in the world moving from down the street to another country.” Ruby munches on a cookie she pulled out of her pocket.

“I mean you make a point. But it helps having you all around to help. I appreciate it.” She says and looked at them. “Having you four here to help Arendelle and be there for me and Anna has meant a great deal. And it’ll be even more important in the coming future” she said to them. She looked at Ruby then to Yang. She suddenly thought, “Where is Anna and Weiss and Blake? Are they all still waking up? It’s nearly 1pm” she laughed some.

Ysng shrugs, “Dunno about Blake. Though my sister may know if Weiss-“

Ruby blushes deeply, “Weiss is fine. Just tired! Nothing suscpicious at all!” She bursts into a cloud of petals as she races to their room.

Crispin goes to sober up. He starts by having a cigarette and eating breakfast…outside.

Elsa looked at Yang after watching Ruby vanish. Then laughed after a moment of silence. “Ruby reminds me a lot of Anna. It’s almost weird.” She said. Not trying to be insulting. She looked at Yang. “So have you enjoyed your stay here?” She asked.

Yang nodded, “It’s a change.”

Crispin goes back upstairs, realizing Elsa’s gonna flip.

Elsa smiles, “not enough time relaxing huh?” She asked her. “I mean you’re still working though” she added.

Christoph ran into Crispin, “you realize we have to clean the castle up before the girls get back right?” He asked him. Still hung over.
