Cyrus worked in Hogwarts, in the Charms departments taking over classes for Professor Flitwick if the poor guy had other things to do. He was one of the recent addition to the Hogwarts staff in the recent years and he had taken on classes before as an understudy to Flitwick. He was also joining with Madam Hootch and Professor Sprout to help with Hufflepuff House’s Quidditch team.
He was informed by Mcgonagall that the new class he was to handle was a pretty prone to loud outbursts and arguments, especially one child, Jackie. He had set himself up in the classroom and used several levitation spells to move books around the classroom, sorting them by alphabetical order in the shelves and along the tables.
By the time he was done, the first few students had begun streaming in. “Ah, perfect, please, take your seats, it’s free seating of course.”
“Just checking up on her, no worries. I’ll see you later.” He said to generally everyone who had arrived, grabbing his coat up and left the hospital wing to rejoin the staff.
Later on, after all the classes and children coming and going, it was finally dinnertime. He went to the kitchens and got a smoke of everything from what was to he going to the Great Hall later, enough for 2-4 people.
After everyone had visited they all one by one said their goodbyes and goodnights. She’d decided to nap after they’d left her alone. As it got darker and darker she groggily began to wake up from her nap. The nurse came and checked on her changing bandages and making sure she was comfortable
He strolled into the hospital wing with a small woven basket, sitting down, waiting for Madam Pomfrey to hlbe done before shuffling over, setting the backseat down on the side of the bed, taking out plates and bowls of food.
“Hey, how are you feeling?” He asked and smiled softly at her.
She was in awe at the amount of efforts trying He had put in even going so far as to carry it all in a basket. It was strange but it made her heart flutter and she looked up to him, processing his question. “I-I’m f-f-feeling alright c-can’t c-complain P-Pomfrey thinks I-I’ll be out n-next week.” She says to him.
He smiled and gently took her hand, massaging it gently before lifting it up to kiss her palm gently.
“Sorry, force of habit. Oh? How are your bones and bruises?” He asked and smiled, getting some food on a plate, shuffling in closer to offer it to her.
“You kn-know you’re a weird t-teacher” she pointed out taking the plate with her free hand.
She looked up, “bruises are h-healing n-nicely…..except f-for m-my black eye b-but it’ll heal. The broken arm sh-should be g-good soon but sh-She’s grounded m-me from quidditch f-for a while t-till I’m t-truly healed.” she said to him. Which as much as she loved flying she was going to enjoy leading her team from the ground for once. And she’d get to be next to her Professor.
“I am, but I…never get chances like this, to really get to know students.” He said and smiled softly. “A pity, but you’ll be blessed to yell at your team members by my side, while I yell at them…then again, I could just being popcorn and watch you yell at them for me.” He said with a hearty chuckle, licking up some food for himself.
She looked at him and smiled, “I-I dont th-think m-my dictation s-skills are th-that gr-great. M-my stutter g-gets in th-the way I-I think” she explained unaware of the speech impediment not even being present when she’s in her team captain node. She began eating. The banquet food was always amazing never ceased to amaze her. She thought.
“Au contraire~ Your stutter goes away when you’re on the field. You’re more confident there. You’re you.” He said and smiled, happily morning at the wonderful taste and flavour of the food.
She looked in surprise. “N-no way…..th-that’s n-not possible” she said to him. As she continued to eat. She noticed him enjoy the food. “N-not used t-to g-good food?” She asked him.
