The man gave a breathy laugh. “Your point? if you were even making an accurate point?” the man asked. Astrid rolled her eyes, arms crossed. She then began to watch Abigail. She was enticed and impressed by the seriousness the woman was playing.
Astrid looked at Abigail, “You’re really passionate about helping us…..you barely even know us” Astrid said sweetly. Her gaze softer. She looked down at the plans. “I can probably have the guards and first and second lines of defense active and on 24 hour watch to start to at least keep our sights on what may come after us.” She said simply.
Abigail turns to Astrid and smiles as she held her hand. “I do care about you all…” even though she cared a lot more for Astrid, but couldn’t say it. “It doesn’t matter if we just met and I don’t care if this is your world. I would still help you out no matter what.”
She smiled at her want and care for her and the riders. She hoped she’d have been more protective towards her. But they were strangers. But still she smiled at the woman’s words. “Well I’m glad. Cause I….we would do the same for you” She said to her.
Abigail nods as she turns to her suit and managed to get what she needed. She got the chest part of her armor and placed it over her. She puts on the metal hands, boots, and part of her helmet as she activates her suit. It does keep the rest of her body parts exposed, but she can at least use her suit.
She begins activating her suit to begin floating off the ground to test it out. “Looks like its working. Now, I need to do a little more testing…” she then turns to Astrid. “Up for a little race before we head on out?”
Astrid looks up and watches her get into the heavy seeming suit. That alone impressed her. But when it began to hover her eyes lit up. “Oh my Thor” she said to herself in awe and amazement at what she was watching. It took her a minute to realize what Abigail had asked her, she looked up. “Yes! Just hope it’s a good one” She spoke.
She then whistled and Stormfly arrived within moments. She slung herself into her dragon, “let’s go girl” she said and Astrid winked before taking off to the sky.
“Thor huh? Sounds like my friend’s dad is very popular around here,” said Abigail as she begins floating off the ground more and more before taking off to the sky to follow Astrid.
She flies by next to her and Stormfly as they fly near the coast. “How fast can your dragon go?”
Astrid pauses. Her and Stormfly stop midair. “You know Thor?!” She asked with confusion. “Got of thunder?!” She added. She seemed stunned by the idea.
Abigail almost flew past her when she saw they stopped. She flies over to them as she sees the shocked look on her face. “Of course. The son of Odin, his brother Loki (who invaded her home years ago), and his son. He’s a cool guy and has a cool axe. Although, my friend thinks his old hammer was cooler.”
“THEYRE REAL?!” The blonde exclaimed in surprise. “Oh you’re just joking!” She said not sure she was able to except that the gods they worshipped were truly alive.
Abigail should have known that bringing this up would end up with Astrid shocked, especially since she lives in a world where her people believe in these deities. “Yeah, they are very real. Thor actually fought alongside my father and the heroes of our world from many great evils that threatened our home.”
“Your family fought along side the gods? Seriously?” She was excited but she tried to mask it with skepticism and crossed her arms. But from the look of it the girl was quite serious.
Abigail sees her trying to hide how she is feeling about all of this, but she knew she couldn’t hide it from her. “Oh yeah. Maybe if I can get back home I can bring you with me to meet them. Thor is a pretty cool guy and has an awesome axe.”
She lost it at her next statement. “You’d do that?!” She asked. Then she looked down. “I’m not sure I’d fit into your world though to be honest” she said to Abigail. Mildly solemn in tone.
Abigail flies over to her and placed her hand on her shoulder. “I don’t exactly fit in your world either. Yet here I am and I am willing to try. Also, let’s be honest Thor doesn’t exactly fit in my world either. Let’s just say in Asgard they didn’t exactly learn much about certain manners.”
Astrid instinctively placed her hand on top of Abigail’s and squeezed it. Almost affectionately. “Well in a way they our our gods. We learned from them and their stories so I suppose it’d make sense. In that case.” She responded back.
Abigail figured as much until her helmet began detecting something nearby. She flies over to see a group of ships heading a nearby beach. “Those guys don’t look like they are from around your home.”
Astrid got a look and nodded, “we need to head back to Berk. Now!” She commanded. And with that turned around to fly towards Berk. As they approached she went to Hiccup and the others and began preparing their defenses.
Abby took off to follow her as she noticed the men begin to arrive on
the beach. She calculated it will take them time to get organized. So, they have time to set up defenses and get the people somewhere safe. Her concern though is mostly if Whiplash is with them.Astrid thankfully was already able to pull Fishlegs, Snotlout and some flyers from the Ateam to join and they went straight into ground firing at the ships and the people.
The men on the beach noticed this and opened fire. Firing their arrows at the dragons and their riders. All while Whiplash sees them flying by. He moves his hand down to a device and begins activating it. The ships all blew up, but he made sure the explosions were ignited when the dragon riders were close by to try knocking them off their dragons.
All the riders stayed fairly steady. However Astrid had been blasting them from too close up and it caused Stormfly to jump unexpectedly causing Astrid to slide off her saddle though keeping her grip on the handles of her saddle Stormfly was in a panic
Abigail noticed this and flies over to the side to help Astrid. She even grabs the dragon and tries to get Stormfly to land somewhere close by.
Whiplash noticed the suit and recognized who it is. He orders his men to go on to the village as he heads over to where the dragon is landing.
As Abigail helps Astrid and Stormfly some attempt to help as well. But when Astrid land she shoos them off to go protect Berk.
She then notices the man walk towards her and Abigail. “He does not look friendly” she pointed out before popping her knuckles
