Once again Jack found himself at his self-proclaimed pond in Burgess. It was the one place he always seem to find himself drifting back to, not that he minded one bit(it was his home after all). He sat on a branch of one the trees that grew around the area, the Winter spirit had already check to see if Jamie was around, but found he wasn’t home. Which meant he was either in school, at a friend’s house, or his mom had him go on errands with her.
He figured a little relaxation wasn’t too bad of idea as he thought of something to do. This was interrupted when he spied something fluttering towards the pond. It moved like a hummingbird, but was human size, which meant only one thing. Jack smiled “Should I make finding me easy for her or hard?” He thought for a moment and decided the latter, so he stayed put for now.
Tooth had flown from her palace, she finally made it to Jack’s quaint little pond but no sign of jack. She fluttered around the trees nearby to find him but had yet to spot the younger guardian. She huffed. Causing the feathers on her head to ruffle some. But suddenly she’d got a glimpse of what looked to be jack in a tree. She laughed a bit.
She decided to fly abovethe trees to hide. Making it seem like she’d left. But then came back down ever so quietly behind jack. As she hovered behind him only for a moment she spoke up. “So Jack…..you busy today?” She asked him. A small smile on her lips.
He watched Tooth with a smirk, waiting to see if she’ll found him or not. The Winter spirit smiled faded a bit as the Tooth Fairy seem to have left, ‘aww c’mon Tooth, don’t give up so easily’ is what he was thinking before his shoulder hunched in surprised at the voice behind him causing him to almost out of the tree. “Tooth! Man, you got me good. Be careful though, wouldn’t want me to fall and break any of my pearly whites.” He smirked, but moving so he was now sitting facing her.
“As for if I’m busy, nah, not really. I’m going to guess that’s about to change seeing how you come all this way to find me.” Jack smiled a bit, intrigued at what brought her here in the first place.
She had her arms crossed and rolled her eyes at his comment about his teeth, “I’d think you’d be a bit more on your game then just letting yourself fall too the ground” she spoke as she fluttered.
“You’re right!” She said to his comment on his plans changing. “I need help moving the memories to a vault of sorts. Not far from my home in the cave but in case threats come they will be protected…..that an the other guardians are too busy to help right now.” She explained her hands clasped together almost as if begging.
“Oh, I am.“ Yes, except when hilarious things happen when you’re people watching and you lose your balance because you were laughing so hard. Of course, he won’t tell her that bcause it’s embarrassing. “I was just teasing ya.” Jack would become quiet to listen to her plead of help before speaking again.
“Wait, you mean all of them? That’s a tall order, but after what happen with Pitch I don’t blame you for wanting to move them.” He thought about it “Alright let’s do it. This will be a win-win for us both, beside with me helping out I’ll make sure it won’t be boring.” Jack release a puff of frost from his free hand with a smirk.
She crossed her arms and looked at him, “don’t get cocky on me jack. But yes, some fun would make the process go faster. Just as long as things get done” she explained to him.
She paused for a moment, “and how is this a “win” for you?” She asked. Her amethyst eyes looking him over trying to keep a level head and ignore his smirk.
