“Ow-” Ben Tennyson rubbed his head as the seventeen year old looked around his new surroundings. The young superhero was in one of his Alien forms known as XLR8 which was a dinosaur like alien with a long black and blue banded tail and wheels for feet. One minute he was fighting an alien and the next he was here. Whatever this island was. [For Astrid]
Astrid had been patrolling on an island not far from berk. When suddenly she saw something….appear? It was almost dragon like. But something was off. She’d already. Landed and was watching the creature closely from away.
Astrid looked back at her viking chief and nodded, “You know we will” she said to him and then proceeded to watch them take off before another guy suddenly came up and attacked Astrid. She grunted but managed to deflect the hit with her axe handle. after minutes of waiting and near in a panic she Snotlout and the small dragon approach.
Hookfang grabbed them and through them onto his saddle, snotlout gripped onto Iona tightly to keep from losing her. Astrid took it as her sign to get on Stormfly. But as the Nadder took off Astrid felt suddenly sick. Looking at the ocean while flying for some reason her stomach wasn’t handling the sight very well. and began to pass out. Snotlout grabbed her and held her in his lap as they then flew back to berk. He worried what was wrong with Astrid. They finally made it back not long after and landed.
Astrid had already begun to reawaken. finding herself on Hookfang’s back not Stormily’s she was confused.
“ Astrid?” Hiccup asked his lover concerned as he spotted the two riders landing. He noticed how off she looked as he helped her slowly off of Hookfang as Iona dashed towards Gothi’s house picking up Ben’s scent.
Inside the house Ben was fighting the effects of the dragon root. He was woozy and overall in a lot of pain as Gothi was working on removing the arrows from his back. He bit down on a piece of leather as he screamed as he felt Gothi pull out an arrow.
Snotlout had already taken off to Gothi’s hut and practically slid in, “Ben!” He exclaimed. Then spotted the man laying down. Gothi pulling out arrows.
Astrid however leaned on Hiccup. “Hey, what’s wrong Hiccup?” She asked. The wooziness now passed.
Gobber was helping out too with Gothi. “ Snotlout-“ Ben called out softly seeing his boyfriend walk in. “ Snotlout we only have two more arrows to get out and I need you hold him down.” Gobber instructed Snotlout as he helped out with getting the bandages ready.
“ You passed out? Astrid maybe you should take it easy.”
Snotlout ran over. He took Ben’s shoulders and pinned him down. He didn’t enjoy witnessing this sort of pain. But he held him down anyways.
Astrid looked at Hiccup, “I mean….yea…. but I dunno what happened I was riding Stormfly and suddenly I felt really sick. I think it was just a one time thing right?” She asked him. “How am I supposed to take it easy Hiccup?” She asked.
Ben braces himself as he felt Gothi gently grab the arrow and he just wanted this all be over as he yelled out when he felt Gothi pull out the second to last arrow. “ Your doing good Ben, just one more.” Gobber was trying to help keep theyoung man calm. Ben did feel more relaxed with Snotlout being next to him though.
“ Hopefully But we should be cautious in case if this happens again. I don’t want you to pass out in the middle of a battle.” Hiccup knew how stubborn Astrid was. But still with the baby on the way he didn’t want Astrid to push herself too hard and get hurt.
Astrid looked at her betrothed. “I don’t want to do that either” she said to him. She grabbed his hand. Squeezing it. She then leaned in and kissed him. “It’ll Be Okay…” she whispered with a soft smile.
Snotlout looked down at Ben, “Just breath Ben. It’s almost over, next time you need to be more careful. You’re not just a dragon out there” he said his tone calm but at the same time quite serious. Even hinted at some aggravation.
Ben looked up at Snotlout with understanding as he gripped onto the Viking’s hand as Gothi pulled out the last arrow from his back. He let out a groan of relief as he soon felt the healer begin to clean his back up and apply some ointment to help his back heal from the puncture wounds and Gobber got her the bandages she would need.
Hiccup gently brushed some hair out of Astrid’s face as he smiled. “ Let’s go see how Ben’s doing. The way Ben fought those hunters to get Iona back reminded me of my dad whenever I used to get into trouble.”
Astrid nodded “yea I could see that” she said with a small laugh. She held his hand as they walked towards Gothi’s hut. She was internally worried though. Maybe it was something to do with the baby she got woozy? She asked herself.
Snotlout ruffled the boy’s hair as he started to relax. “You can’t be stupid like that. It’ll get you killed” he said to him. “As much as I am still upset with you, I never want to see you hurt. You need to be more responsible” he said to him. They hadn’t even kissed before and Snotlout hadn’t been able to help the jealousy he felt towards Ben and Hookfang.
Ben carefully sat up as he listened intently toSnotlout before speaking up. Placing his hand against Snotlout’s cheek to help calm him down. “ It’s not the first time I’ve been told that. All I was thinking about was getting my daughter back. And making sure you two came home safely. “ Ben stated as he leaned a little closer to the Viking gently taking his hand to grasp Snotlout’s chin before leaning in and kissing him
Snotlouts mind went hazy as he felt Ben’s hand. Suddenly it turned into a complete blur as suddenly he was silenced. Not by anything but by Ben. He was shocked, pleasantly shocked.
Astrid had walked in with Hiccup behind her as they’d kissed. Astrid covered her mouth. The scene was a shock and not a shock all at once. “Wow…..” she mumbled.
Ben felt the world around him still as he hummed softly, a little smile forming before he noticed Astrid and Hiccup in the corner of his eye. The tips of his ears reddening slightly from the blush that was forming.
“ I knew it,” Hiccup quietly told Astrid not wanting to disturb the two. Heck even Tuffnut and Ruffnut have placed bets if the two would ever kiss.
Astrid delicately knocked on the wall to pull them away. She laughed a little. “Heya Love birds….” she said.
Snotlout heard the knock then heard the voice that followed. His face turned red and he pulled back. Looking at the Chief and Astrid, “Aaaahhhh uuuhhhhh…. hey….” he said blushing deeply. He looked at Ben. Then back to them, “how long have you guys been standing there?” He asked his heart racing.
