Whiplash felt his whip being held down and looks over to see the blonde hair girl getting involved. He sees her cutting it off, but only scoffed at her attempt. He revealed he could reconnect his whip with the broken one. He then goes to attack her, but Abby flies over and takes the hit of the whips.
Whiplash begins electrocuting her as Abby screamed in pain. However, she grit her teeth as she begins doing what her father told her he did against Ivan’s dad. She grabs the whips and begins pulling them around her arms. She keeps doing this to get closer to him as Ivan sees this and tries to pull away.
Abby though kept a tight grip and got closer until she was near him. She pulls him in and fires a repulsor blast from her suit’s chest and sends him flying through a tree. She flies over and grabs his suit’s power source then rips it off him. She breaks the device causing Whiplash’s suit to lose power until the whips returned to normal.
She falls one knee as she begins panting softly.
Astrid prepares to take the hit but she hears Abby scream again. She went running towards her. Standing behind her as she witnessed her gathering the whips around her arms. When she fell the blonde ran over to her. Sliding o the ground as she grasped Abigail’s shoulders, “Hey….hey….you okay? Abby?!” She asked In worry. Not even thinking about her calling her Abby.
Abby soon begins steadying her breathing and turns to Astrid who looked worried for her. She tries giving her a small smile and nods. “I’m fine. Not the first time that has happened and probably won’t be the last. What about you? Are you all right?”
“Of course I’m alright. You didn’t have to protect me!” She spoke with worry. She gets onto one knee and helps her back to standing. “You can’t be reckless” She spoke to her. With a serious tone but her eyes glistened with concern.
Abby chuckled softly despite being in a bit of pain. “Not the first time i’ve been reckless, but won’t be the last if it means making sure the people I care about don’t get hurt…like you,” she said figuring it must be the pain causing her to feel lightheaded and not think straight.
Astrid huffed, “You won’t be able to protect me if you’re weak. I don’t care about you protecting me. I care about you…..” she paused then continued, “….you shouldn’t be reckless” she spoke a small blush. Her trying to recover from her statement didn’t go well. And she couldn’t believe she fumbled like that.
Abby falls on the ground and begins panting a little more. “M-maybe I should take it easy. Maybe you can also help keep me from being reckless if you worry so much about me…” she smiled at her before noticing her blushing. “Did I make you fluster all of a sudden?”
The blonde helped her up again and huffed. “Ya think?” She asked as a teasing retort. “We need to get him taken care of” She added. But she noticed Abby trying to fluster Astrid and she elbowed the girl. Knowing it’d hurt. “I could just not help you you know. Miss I’m going to protect some stranger” She retorted. And helped her over to an open space and whistled for Stormfly. Who landed right in front of them. “Climb on” She said to Abby.
Abby felt her hitting her, but she didn’t mind even if it hurt. She sees where Whiplash is at and makes sure to let Astrid’s friends know to tie him up. She hops on the dragon all while looking at the power source she took from him. It looked a lot like the ARC reactor of hers, except it looks new.
He must have had it for a while. Judging from how long these men have served him it means he has been here a while too. Does that mean he made it here or before he got here? She has a lot of questions to ask him, but for now needs to fix her suit.
Astrid went to the others who had just arrived to check on them. There was lots of questions and she attempted to answer them. And had them disarm the man and then bind him up. Having them take him back to the village.
She then returns to Abby and Stormfly. She takes the front. And looks back at Abby. “You need to rest when we get back.” Thwarting The girl’s plan to work on her suit.
