Jack laid down beside her and watched her yawn, smiling at her yawning face. He reached out and pushed her hair away before he leaned in and gave her lips a sweet kiss. he pulled away and nuzzled down into his pillow. Then he closed his eyes as he ran his hand down and took her hand in his “Thank you.. For tonight…”
Astrid had heard everything. She felt bad for both of them. But at the same time Jack had been right, none of them were kids. Jack had his own choices to make.
It had her thinking about her own life and choices. Then she thought of Hiccup…..and then Jack seemed to creep into the corners of her mind. And she thought for a long quiet moment before she groaned in frustration at thinking of both chiefs. She rubbed her temples and paced as she recollected herself.
When she was ready she grabbed her cloak and set it so it was over her shoulder caps and lay under her hood making it seem as one piece. Then proceeded to walk out into the hall and face Jack.
Jack heard her door open and he sighed to himself, sure she had heard everything that was said. The walls were thin, and he was so tired.
He smiled softly as he saw her “im sorry.. im sure you heard all of that”
She nodded, “I’m sorry to have cause trouble” she spoke. And she started down the hall with Jack, “maybe yo should sleep?” She asked him.
She rubbed her arm and looked to notice Jack’s neck, “um I think I left some marks on you” She spoke and touched where the hickeys were on his neck.
Jack shook his head “she is blowing this out of proporsions… not your fault” He gave her a small smile He chuckled. “im the chief.. i’ll sleep when the days work is done”
He stopped and smiled, letting her run her fingers over his neck. “its okey… I dont mind them…”
“I don’t know. Maybe a bit. But I’d be careful not to burn the bridge with her. She is important to you I’d think” she said as she finished touching his neck.
“What are we doing today?” She asked him.
Jack sighed and nodded “i’ll give her time to calm down..Then i’ll explain everything to her” Jacknwasnt exactly sure what was between them exactly, but he expected they were exclusive at the moment.
“well! as you say, the dragon riders will be here in a couple of days with supplies and to discuss the trade agreement.. so we need to prepear housing for the dragons and the riders”
“Thankfully with Stormfly we can make the changes we need with ease. So far it seems that just Fishlegs, the twins and Snotlout are coming…..I don’t expect Hiccup to come being as he SHOULD stay with Berk being as he is chief.” She explained to him.
