Jack laid down beside her and watched her yawn, smiling at her yawning face. He reached out and pushed her hair away before he leaned in and gave her lips a sweet kiss. he pulled away and nuzzled down into his pillow. Then he closed his eyes as he ran his hand down and took her hand in his “Thank you.. For tonight…”
She pulled back some and spoke, “it’s amazing! I love it. I think Stormfly will like it too” she looked at him and realized how close she was to him. Last night suddenly popped into her head. And she felt quite nervous. What is going on? She asked herself. Her heart pounded.
Jack smiled as he looked at the house, but froze just a little when he turned back to her he looked into her eyes, still holding her close. His heart started to pound as well. Was this what developing feelings for another person was like, feeling nervous around the person at all time, yet always wanting to be close to them?
Astrid gave an awkward laugh and finally pulled away and then looked at the house, “it’s amazing. Truly” she spoke. Her heart still pounded. She then whistled, and within moments Stormfly joined them. She petted the dragon and smiled. Then looked at Jack “now let’s see if she likes it” she spoke
Jack chuckled a bit nervouse as she pulled away and looled at his feet and then at the house “im glad you like it! Hope it will be good for stormfly too”. Jack had started to get used to stormfly flying around, but he was still a bit on edge every time he saw her comming.
The Nadder seemed to go and explore the structure and garbled to them. Astrid smiles at her. “Yea I think she likes it too” she told jack. She noticed him tense a bit. “Hmmmm….we really need to get you more comfortable with Dragons.” She spoke and looked at him arms crossed and she thought for a moment.
Jack smiled happily “good! im glad she enjoys it as well”
The men working on the house backed off a bit when the nadder came into the structure. Younger men were intrueged by the beast whike older workers was a bit more tense like Jack
The cheif chuckled “over s thousand years of scepgisism toward dragons sit deep in me i guess…” he reached for his back and rubbed tye only scar he could reach.
“Well I’m going to help melt that skepticism away. By first, us finding you a dragon of your own” she said and smiled back at him. It was definitely going to be a challenge without hiccup here to find Jack a dragon but she felt it was important into helping him learn how to break those old walls down.
