Jack smiled softly up at her “Its alright.. It was a long time ago.. and it wasnt the dragons fault… it was wounded by trappers so I presume it saw us as the enemy and, did what was natural.. But what was natural… was to attack”
Jack looked down at his hands and then his eyes moved up to her face and he moved closer “But I want you to help me get over my fear..”
“That’s not creepy” she joked and gave a small laugh. She looked at him, “You going to sit?” She asked him as she took a bite of the food. Trying to relax the mild nerves she was feeling from being on spotlight with Jack’s cousin. Not that it was a big deal but it was quite strange for her to know everything. Definitely weird she thought to herself.
jack chuckled a bit and nodded “i didnt even notice that i was still standing…” he sat down and picked up his spoon. “she is strange, but her service here protects her from those who would see her gift of sight as a curse”
She smiled at him and she began to eat, “I’m not saying ya a bad thing. It’s good you protect her” she spoke. She tasted the soup and smiled happily. “It taste amazing….” she spoke with a smile. “I will say that I’m definitely not a domestic Viking…I can’t cook” She joked with a laugh.
Jack smirked at her “Well, to be honest I would never expect you to be able too, you dont look like that stay at home kind of viking woman..” He took another sip of his soup and a bite of his bread. “You look more like a woman fit to lead”
She noticed the Change in his expression and she tried to figure out why. She looked at her food and took a bite. “It’s why im a general back on Berk too I suppose” she explained and took some more bites of food. Smiling at the taste
Jack smiled and nodded asbhe picked up his cup “if you ever feel like being a general agian, just ask… Once the people start getting there own dragons we need someone to train them in riding them.”
“Oh course. I wouldn’t mind taking position as general again. When that time comes.” She spoke to him as she continued to eat her food
Jack stopped eating for a bit. He had never thought about it that way. That with this alliance astrid would get the freedom to go back home. He looked down at his food, thinking a bit back to before astrid arrived.
“yeah… when you go home?” Jack asked a bit easily as he looked up at the other viking. He did not want her to go. But he knew he could not stop her.
She hadn’t thought about going back to Berk lately. Sure it would be nice to visit and see everyone. She missed her friends and her parents. But she wasn’t quite sure she’d want to head back indefinitely yet.
However she looked up and saw Jack’s expression and she gave a small smile. “We will see if I go home to Berk. They can handle themselves, I know here, you guys need help. So for now, as help is needed I most definitely I will stay. After it’s all done I’ll reevaluate the situation. Circumstances change right?” She asked then continued to eat her food. She didn’t know what the future hold. But she knew she could leave Jack and his home to the dragons. They needed help.
