Jack smiled softly up at her “Its alright.. It was a long time ago.. and it wasnt the dragons fault… it was wounded by trappers so I presume it saw us as the enemy and, did what was natural.. But what was natural… was to attack”

Jack looked down at his hands and then his eyes moved up to her face and he moved closer “But I want you to help me get over my fear..”

Jack grabbed her arm and pulled her close “are you crazy!! I cant let you go down there, it will trample you to death.. Its to risky” He losened his grip, not wanting to hurt her.

She smiled up at him, “I’ll be fine….go get Stormfly” she spoke calmly and gave a warm reassuring smile. “Trust me. Trust Stormfly. Now go…..hurry” she said to him andheld his hand that’d gripped her arm in her own and squeezed as a subtle gesture to him from her.

Jacks heard was beating, for the first time in a long time he was scared. He looked down on there hands before he turned around and ran of, letting her hand go in the prosess.

He ran the whole way, it was long and he was so out of breath, but he would not let astrid get hurt.

He came over to the stables and ran inside, past people who was surprised at seeing the young chife in such a hurry. He only stopped when he got to stormfly and he then felt how much his chest was burning.

“Stormfly, we gotta go help astrid” he said out of breath as he climbed on top of the beast and held onto the saddle for dear life, making his knuckles white.

Stormfly looked at the man on comfusion she garbled and trotted over to him when he opened the door. She let him onto her back and she had a sense of understanding what needed to happen and took off once out of the stables. Letting him guide her.

Astrid had dropped herself into the pit to calm the yak. He tried continuously charging at her and at one point scraped his horn against her arm. Deeply but not something she was overly worried about. She eventually within minutes managed to slow and calm him. He seemed to wail at her as he was still pacing but he’d gone more quiet about it. She was breathing heavy from dodging and jumping and trying to relax the beast.
