Astrid had been patrolling on an island not far from berk. When suddenly she saw something….appear? It was almost dragon like. But something was off. She’d already. Landed and was watching the creature closely from away.
Astrid had tried to run and use her axe to knock some down but one of them grabbed her and pinned her to a wall of the stables. She yelled out “HICCUP!!!!” She called. She jut hope he could hear. She tried to pull at the man who held her down. “GET OFF ME I SWEAR IM GOING TO SHOVE MY AXE RIGHT UP YOUR ASS!” She exclaimed at him. She managed an arm free and used it to punch the man to let her go. But she saw the numbers and she already knew she wasn’t in a good place. “You want to fight a pregnant woman?! Let’s go then!” She yelled at them.
Snotlout still holding strong through a couple more men before one grabbed his bad arm and squeezed it tight. And Snotlout just crumbled to his knees. Unable to speak.
The familiar roar of a Nightfury sounded outside the stables as Toothless swooped in a livid Hiccup on his back. Oh he was pissed when he saw the hunter’s surrounding his pregnant bethrothed with anger in his eyes. “ Let her go-“ Hiccup all but growled out with malice in his voice as the Chief then chargedat them with his fire sword.
“ Snotlout!” Ben called out seeing the Viking go down. The hero struggled as a hunter quickly knocked him out with a blow to the back of the head.As hiccup began to charge one of the dragon hunters drew a sword and tried to hold him off. Astrid started to fight back but one of the dragon hunters spoke, “Fine let her stay. But imma leave some marks…..you’re not gonna die I can promise you that.” He spoke. He approached and pulled out a knife. She didn’t see it as she pushed off another hunter. But the man with the knife grabbed her shoulder and dug the blade into her side. When he pulled it out Astrid gasped. And a dragon hunter pushed her down to the ground trying to making it so she landed on the baby bump. Thankfully she fell into her side but she could feel the blood soak her stomach and she put her hands to it to stop it, “H-Hiccup….the baby…” she spoke in panic. She didn’t know what to do.The hunters started to fall back and ran for the woods and were gone.
Snotlout couldn’t move the pain was almost to much and before he knew it he saw one of the hunters kick his face and it went black. The hunters made sure to bind the two before taking them to their ship off the far side of Berk. Making sure they separated Snotlout and Ben they put them in dragon proof cells. One across from the other to keep them at a distance rather then them be side by side.
One of the Plumber medics, Jason was with Valka as he quickly hurried to Astrid and got to work on stopping he bleeding. Hiccup was keeping her calm while Jason worked on the wound on her stomach. Once the bleeding stopped he started to stitch it together.
Ben woke up a few hours later, head pounding as he tried to take stock of the situation. One of his hands was broken as he felt pain pulsate through his arm when he tried to move it. He could see Snotlout lying against the wall of his cell while Ben was chained up. He then realized that someone was in his cell with him. The man was taller then Ben and dressed in a dark robe covering his face. “ Do this is the Legendary Ben Tennyson,” the man before him spoke, his voice clearly not human. “ What do you want,” Ben spoke up as he watched he alien’s movements. “ Me and the dragon hunters on this were loyal to our Master Vilgax. “
Astrid was trying to stay awake. As they all started moving to help her. She held onto Hiccups hand tightly and she breathed out “What about the baby…?” She asked them. “Hiccup they came out of nowhere. I didn’t see them….they invaded Berk and we didn’t know about it” she spoke as she tried not to pass out from either the pain or the loss of blood. But it was becoming hard to do. She felt her vision fade around the edges and she began to tip her head back.
Snotlout was slowly waking up. He let his eyes adjust and he quietly looked over across the way to see Ben….he started to move and speak up but then found himself stopped when he noticed the alien in his cell. At hearing he’d been loyal to Vilgax he went wide eyed but tried not to pull from the conversation.
“ Stay with me Astrid stay with me,” Hiccup held her close as he, Valka and Jason brought Astrid to the medics ship as he placed her on the hospital bed and his team got to work hooking her up to the various machines that would monitor her and hooked up to an IV.
“ It’s no small feat for any being to take down lord Vilgax in the manner you did, human.” The alien voice was raspy as he took a clawed hand lifted Ben’s chin up, as If examining the hero before the general let go of him. Ben was hanging by his arms in the middle of his cell, as the alien walked around him menacingly. Pure yellow eyes glowing from under the black shroud. “ We could of used someone like you in our army. But of course the Omnitrix has to fall into the hands of a worthless fleshbag like you.” The alien growled before he punched Ben harshly in the gut.
Astrid kept in a dazed state. She held onto hiccups hand. Occasionally her grip would loosen and they’d shake her back awake. “Just….protect the babies…” she spoke. Though this was not a mistake of words.
Valka looked up at the medic, “Did she say babies?” She asked him. Gothi was already helping where she could and gave an awkward smile. She drew on a board she was carrying explaining “Astrid was wanting me to check and we heard to heartbeats….not just one. She wants to keep it a surprise.” She had written.
Snotlout yelled and reached through the bars “DONT HURT HIM!” He yelled. He beat his fist on the cell. “Get away from him!” He growled.
Hiccup’s jaw dropped but he quickly got himself together, gently placing a kiss to the back of Astrid’s hand. “ Oh Astrid,” Hiccup hummed softly comforting his bethrothed while the medic and nurses took care of Astrid.
“ Like you can do anything in that state,” The alien laughed darkly said as if he found Snotlout’s threats amusing. “ Just leave him alone,” Ben snarled as he felt the draw a long bloody cut with his knife on his back making Ben writhed in pain as he tried to get away before the alien thrusted his knife into his back making Ben scream out in pain.
Astrid looked up at Hiccup, “surprise!” She tried to joke weakly. “So what’s the damage?” She asked the medic. Valka brushed her hands through her hair, “just rest. You can’t be stressing about things. Keep the babies safe” she explained. Astrid didn’t argue.
Snotlout yelled, “STOP!” She rammed his shoulder against the door. “I swear….you’re going to regret your existence!” He grunted as he kept trying to ram his way out. Pushing away the pain in his broken arm.
“ The babies are fine. The blade didn’t go deep enough to harm them.” The medic reassured Astrid as Tuffnut ran into the ship out of breath. “ Snoutlout and Ben are missing! I can’t find them anywhere.”
“ Any last word word Tennyson,” The alien asked the hero but Ben just looked at him calmly before speaking. “ Omnitrix, Voice Activation Override: Transformation: Rath” The device responsed “ Code accepted,” as a green light surrounded Ben and soon a large bipedal feline tailless alian stood before his attack. Thick orange and black striped fur decorated his frame as he let out a thunderous roar break free of his chains and punching his torturer through the cell bars strong enough to knock it down. “ Rath!” The Alien roared out his designation as he looked over at Snotlout before the alien pulled down one of the cells as four Speed Stinger dragon’s quickly ran out snapping their jaws as they got sight of Rath. The pair was clearly in hunting mode as they tried to surround the tiger alien. Rath roared at them, standing tall and firm between the Speed Stingers and Snoutlout. One quickly lunged for Ben but the alien warrior smacked it out of the way before the others went in. They managed to land two hits on him as wounds started to appear on the warrior before one leaped onto Ben’s back claws digging in deep.Snotlout watched in surprise and backed up before Ben broke out, he then noticed the freedom of the speed stingers and he looked in fear. “BEN GET ME OUT OF HERE I CAN HELP YOU!” He spoke and beat on his cell door still. Harder and harder feeling a bit of dizziness take over him.
Astrid smiles weakly, “That’s good….I-I’m glad” she spoke softly and laid her head back feeling her head spin from lightness. “Hiccup….” she mumbled as she began to lose consciousness. “Is Astrid going to be okay?!” Valka asked the medic.
Rath back into Snotlout’s door as he broke the Viking out of his cell just as a speed stinger launched itself onto Ben’s back digging his claws in as the alien roared in pain. Blood dripping down his back as the dragon’s viciously attack him.
“ Astrid will be alright once she rests. She’s light headed from blood loss.” The medic reassured Valka as his team took care of the General.“Ben….we need to get you out of here. I can call Hookfang. We can do this. But you gotta stay with me” He spoke in worry. He used his shirt to cover the back wounds and grabbed a stray piece of board and started smacking speed stingers. Not enough to get them but enough to knock them back with fear or knock them out. “Get. Away!” He exclaimed trying to bite down the pain in his arm. When it was cleared he grabbed Ben and slid the board under his broken arm in case they’d need it. And dragged Ben out from below the deck.
Fishlegs looked at Hiccup, “I know you don’t want to leave Astrid but we need to get the others back” he said and put a hand on his shoulder. Astrid sleepily squeezed her betroths hand, “go hiccup….they’ll take care of me” She said and slowly started to doze off. Valka nodded in agreement. “Go…protect them” she spoke and kissed his head.
Ben used his boyfriend for support as the alien fought to stay awake, snarling in pain as the tiger alien struggled up the steps. His broken hand was making it difficult to grip onto the railling leadig up to the steps. He was breathing heavy from pain and his skin was covered in a sheen of sweat. Once on the deck Ben looked up seeing Hiccup and Fishlegs along with the rest of the riders came to rescue them from the speedstingers along with Hookfang.
First Fishlegs hurried and help Snotlout carry Ben to Hookfang. Sitting him onto the saddle. The riders had taken out the threats when they’d landed. And so Snotlout though only had one arm got onto Hookfang with Ben. “Let’s go home!” He called out. And Hookfang nodded. Garbling some before he started to take off home.
