Elsa smiled and took the princess to follow her “No need to apologize. I wasn’t ever really the warmest and welcoming princess when we were younger” she jokes a bit. She bowed to James, “Thank you. And enjoy the celebration.” she spoked, before they walked away. There was a small nook in the ballroom they were in that seemed separated from the party though in the same room still. She had a small table and two chair set up for them to sit. A servant sat them down in their seats and bowed. Making sure to serve a drink to both women before he excused himself.
When they were alone Elsa sighed out and gave a small awkward laugh, “Wow…I really can’t imagine spending the whole party like that.” she spoke and looked at Kymera. “I’m still new to this whole public appearance thing and since the freezing of the Fiords I’m trying to relax but still keep good appearances” she explained briefly. Then smiled, “I can not tell you how excited I am to be making allies with you and the work with our Geothermal tech with your Vibranium tech. We alone have made such vast leaps to improving Arenedelle and the environment we protect. Being able to build and implement those same ideals and concepts into more areas of the world…..There’s really a great opportunity to reverse the clock on global warming.” she spoke with excitement before she drank from her class of wine.
“Not very advanced I’m afraid. Arendelle is a quiet piece country. We don’t have enemies” She explained to Kymera and James. “So I suppose that this is my fault?” She asked Kymera with a small expression of hurt, or maybe regret lingering in her eyes. She then sighed. “What do you suggest for protection?” The queen asked. Her arms crossed to tuck away her hands. Feeling more self conscious about it knowing this attack came because of her.
“N-no of course not,” said Kymera as she tries to explain herself. “What I mean is as royalty we should expect these sort of things to happen. It is not our fault though that they happen, but instead of worrying about it happening again we need to be ready for it. Find out who is behind these attacks and stop them before they hurt us, our people, or those close to us. I apologize if I upset you, but please understand until we can end this threat we should wait to sign when things are calm.”
James nods agreeing with his friend and approached the queen. “Elsa, with permission I offer myself to protect you and your sister from any harm. If you let me and I promise I will make sure no one tries to harm you all.”
“I understand that. Truly I do. But not every royal wakes up and has to learn to control power that could cause devastation to the world.” She said simply. Elsa however had her attention pulled to James as he offered himself up to be her guard. “There really isn….” She paused and breathed out, “Thank you. You know you do not have to help us. But if you decide to anyways I would be happy to have you at my side…..as my guard” She said and gave a small smile. She looked back at Kymera “Let me know what I can do to help. Please. Anything to end this.” She spoke with concern but certainty in her voice.
Kymera couldn’t deny that as she approached the queen. “And not all royalties wake up being able to control the weather. This is the world we live in,” she said as she pats her shoulder. “I will send a friend of mine to visit your kingdom. They will let you know if we need anything my friend.”
James nods in response as he gives the queen a small bow. “I accept then my lady and will be your personal guard until this is over.”
Elsa sighs and smiles small as Kymera speaks. “Good then. Thank you Princess.” She spoke in a calm demeanor and tone.
“Well thank you. I’m more then happy to give you a room at the castle and if you need a combat arena I’m sure we can work something out. We are small in size but very humble and welcoming to new people. My sister Anna will be excited. Though….” she paused and looked around before she spoke again, “I would appreciate it if we kept the fact someone is after me between us 3 my sister doesn’t need to know neither do the people.” She asked of them.
James nods in response understanding the need to keep this a secret. “I understand your hei…Elsa. We will keep this a secret and no need to offer me so much. I am here to help keep you and your sister safe. Just a room will be enough for me.”
Kymera leans in and whispers to the queen. “He was raised well. His mom taught him how to be as well-mannered as his father. I don’t need to tell you who he was though,” she said as she begins leaving the room.
All while James picks up his shield. The red and blue with a white star symbol in the middle.
Elsa smiles a bit as he tried to correct himself. “I’m happy to offer you whatever is needed.” She spoke sweetly. She didn’t expect such manners from him but she appreciated it.
As Kymera whispered to her she listened but simultaneously watched the man pick his shield up realizing he was the son of captain America. It made quite a bit of sense suddenly.
“James.” She spoke up after Kymera left, she rubbed her arm, “Thank you. For saving me tonight, you’re really amazing. And it’s an honor to have you protecting me” She spoke in a soft and more delicate tone then before. She bowed to him, “Shall we go? Do you need your things?” She asked.
James turns to the queen and smiles when she thanked him. “It was no problem. I’m glad to have been able to help you. It was an honor to be here and meet you. Although I did wish we met on better terms.”
He makes sure he got everything before he approached the queen “Let’s get you home then,”
The queen looked at him as he walked away and she sighed out. She had to admit she’d wished it was better terms they met under.
She grabbed the papers and folded them back up into their package and was explaining to her guards and Anna as to why they were taking James to stay at the castle, without ponying out her life being at risk.” After she finished James returned and she nodded at his words “yes let us return home” she spoke in response
James returned to the hotel to grab his things before he went to meet with the queen. The two returned back home, while James kept in touch with Kymera. So far they interrogated the two criminals. Neither one had information on who hied them.
All they knew is they were hired by someone through their phones. Making sure not to meet in person or leave any paper trails. Kymera tried to use their phones, but they were destroyed. So, they will have to find another way to track the villain.
Once they arrive James looks at the home of the queen and seems surprised. “Wow, this place looks…ordinary. I mean no offense, I just don’t come around places like this that don’t have large buildings and a lot of technology. Something simple, which I like.”
Elsa had been given constant updates through James. As they travelled back to Arendelle Elsa had already set up room arrangements for James. She was worried but thrilled simultaneously for some reason.
As they arrived and she exited the car she heard his statement. “Like I explained. We aren’t a large country. But we are a good and humble people. And our eco tech isn’t something that needs to be put in the open so it’s nice. Keeps costs down exponentially. “ she explained to him as they walked to the entrance of the castle.
