Cyrus worked in Hogwarts, in the Charms departments taking over classes for Professor Flitwick if the poor guy had other things to do. He was one of the recent addition to the Hogwarts staff in the recent years and he had taken on classes before as an understudy to Flitwick. He was also joining with Madam Hootch and Professor Sprout to help with Hufflepuff House’s Quidditch team.
He was informed by Mcgonagall that the new class he was to handle was a pretty prone to loud outbursts and arguments, especially one child, Jackie. He had set himself up in the classroom and used several levitation spells to move books around the classroom, sorting them by alphabetical order in the shelves and along the tables.
By the time he was done, the first few students had begun streaming in. “Ah, perfect, please, take your seats, it’s free seating of course.”
Cyrus had just finished classes for the day and he was glad he could go check up on Jackie. So off to the infirmary he went, humming softly, greeting the multitude of students along the way.
Jinx had grabbed Jackie’s hand and pulled on her, “Let’s go!” The red head exclaimed and Jackie was forced to follow she laughed in the process and as they started moving down the hall Jackie caught sight of Cyrus and her heart beat loud with anxiety and she gave a nervous but happy smile to him as Jinx pulled her down the hall. She felt bad she wasn’t going to get to see him. Her getting released today was a surprise for her too.
Cyrus heard some happy squeaks and laughs, catching a glimpse of Jackie whizzing by with her friend, giving him nervous but happy smile to him. She was beautiful like that. He waved her by and turned about to head to his own room.
She sighed as he seemed not bothered that she was dragged away from the hospital wing. She turned and breathed out. They ran to the great hall and went to eat. Jackie going almost ravenous, for the food
He went to his office and got his quick quotes quill out while he rummaged through his paperwork.
“Dear Jackie, I would like to see you after class tomorrow for remedial lessons. I will be reviewing your studies after a month to see if you need more reviewing since you have been behind on your classes. Please kindly write a reply at the bottom at your earliest convenience. This paper is charmed and will appear on my copy. Sincerely, Cyrus, your charms teacher.” He spoke aloud and turned to pick up the hovering quill to sign it off, setting it aside. He let the paper dry while he sat down and did some paperwork.
After a few sheets were done he picked up another blank parchment and placed it above the written letter, tapping the blank one with his wand, causing the exact writings to appear on the paper. He set his copy aside and folded his into a nice rectangle, slotting it into an envelope before sealing it with wax. It was a golden coloured wax with a cursive of this name stamped into the now-cold wax. He waved his wand and the letter floated itself to wherever Jackie was.
Jackie was in hogsmeade with Jinx and some of hufflepuffs team. She drank her butter beer happily as she caught up with everyone. Someone asked “So Professor Cyrus, he came to visit you……quite frequently” someone mentioned and they all seemed to giggle at the idea of Cyrus. She laughed. “H-He was ch-checking on m-me. He feels b-bad seeing as the only reason I-I was th-there was b-because of himmm.” She explained.
She was interrupted mid thought when the wax sealed letter flew into the pub and hovered itself in front of her. The girls ooo-ed and gave questionable looks. As Jackie took it into her hands she opened it and his voice came to life repeating the message on the page. Jackie internally smiled and Jinx shuffled in her bag to retrieve a spare quill. Handing it to her. Jackie wrote a response,
“Thank you for the offer I will be sure to arrive and take the opportunity for extra lessons. Thank you.

Jacquelyn Conners”
And with that she closed the letter and Jinx grinned.
