Elsa smiled and took the princess to follow her “No need to apologize. I wasn’t ever really the warmest and welcoming princess when we were younger” she jokes a bit. She bowed to James, “Thank you. And enjoy the celebration.” she spoked, before they walked away. There was a small nook in the ballroom they were in that seemed separated from the party though in the same room still. She had a small table and two chair set up for them to sit. A servant sat them down in their seats and bowed. Making sure to serve a drink to both women before he excused himself.
When they were alone Elsa sighed out and gave a small awkward laugh, “Wow…I really can’t imagine spending the whole party like that.” she spoke and looked at Kymera. “I’m still new to this whole public appearance thing and since the freezing of the Fiords I’m trying to relax but still keep good appearances” she explained briefly. Then smiled, “I can not tell you how excited I am to be making allies with you and the work with our Geothermal tech with your Vibranium tech. We alone have made such vast leaps to improving Arenedelle and the environment we protect. Being able to build and implement those same ideals and concepts into more areas of the world…..There’s really a great opportunity to reverse the clock on global warming.” she spoke with excitement before she drank from her class of wine.
She smiles up at him, “I could not have agreed more. Thank you for helping me keep her out of this.” She spoke and bowed to him briefly, “now. Would you Like to be shown your room?” She asked him curiously.
James nods in response while looking around the place. “If you wouldn’t mind would you also mind showing me around the place? So i can get an understanding of where everything is at,” he asked wanting to see how the defense of the palace is like. “If you don’t mind?”
Elsa wasn’t surprised by his question. She nodded with a small smile. “No I wouldn’t mind. We can chat a little more too” She spoke and led him through the entrance and up the stairs she worked her way down the main hall and explained who’s rooms were where. His was at the opposite end of the hall from her room. Straight access to her or the princess in case something happened. And walked him into his room. “Here you can set your things down” She explained
James looks around his room finding it bigger than he expected. “Wow, these rooms are big,” he replied as he sets his duffel bag on the bed and his shield against the door. “I appreciate you doing this. I just wish it didn’t happen when your life is being put in danger,” he said wishing he got a chance to meet the queen and her home without any lives being put on the line.
“hahah you know, I’m glad you’re here. Even if it is to protect me there will be time to adventure and show you our customs and let you get a proper welcome.” She spoke in response. Watching him from the doorway as he explored his room. “Yea they sort of are. When there was more of a family the rooms I guess had more life in them. Now it’s really just me and my sister.” she commented
James turns towards Elsa and recalls what Kymera told him about the queen’s parents. How they passed away and left everything to their children. He felt bad for them and wish they didn’t have to go more struggles. He never understood this much since his own father passed away long ago before he even knew him.
He knew who he was and what he stood for, but he never got to know him personally. He grabs his shield and places it behind his back. “Let’s get a layout of your security and of the palace. So, we can work on setting up a proper defense for your home. But first, we should see if my friend arrived to help us out.”
“Here I’ll show you the rest of this floor then the third then the rest of the main floor.” She explained to him. She paused as he mentioned his friend coming to join him. “You’re friend?” The blonde asked. “Where would they be coming in from?” She added. Then waved for him to follow her down the hall once more and then turned to show him through the second level of the castle then took him to the third level.
James begins following her as he was curious to see more of the areas of this palace. “I appreciate you doing this. As for my friend its more of a she. She probably will be coming in from the mountains or if she wants to show off through the sea. But don’t worry she is nice. And she can be a big help to help us track down anyone who tries to harm you.”
Provided she has the devil in her under control. He doesn’t want the rider to be let loose and cause any harm towards anyone.
Elsa gave a awkward smile. “Through the sea? I heard that right, correct?” She asked curiously as they walked down stairs. Looking over at him on occasion. “You have strange friends I will say. At least that’s how it seems” she remarked and turned right, “follow me. The kitchen is down this way.”
James chuckled softly and rubs the back of his head. “She likes showing off sometimes when she goes somewhere where she is needed. Don’t worry she may be strange, but she is nice.”
They head towards the kitchen where James saw the size of it. “Wow, this is big. But then again I expected that from a palace as big as this one. I bet you and your sister loved coming here to get some sweets.”
“Yea…..I love sneaking in here to get choc-” she paused and gave an awkward laugh. “You were not supposed to hear that” she laughed a bit. Then cleared her throat, “Um, the staff is all good people and protected my secret from the world for years. You can trust them.” Elsa explained to him.
