Ivan was making dinner for himself when he heard noise coming from the fire escape outside his window. He opens the window and his eyes go wide when he sees a girl climbing towards him. He was frozen in shock.
“A calzone?” She asked, as she looked back at Eva. Her expression confused but curious. She looked at Ivan, “May I push the chair?” She asked. “Would that be okay with you Eva?” She asked her specifically
“Of course, dear.” Eva says as Ivan lets go if the chair. “And a calzone is like, um, like a pizza sandwich with no red sauce.” She tries to explain as Ivan holds open the door.
Jinx expected pushing to be much harder given her smaller frame compared to Ivan. But she found it rather easy for some reason. Not really recognizing her strength. She gave a smile as they walked inside the pizza location. The red head looked around at the restaurant.
They’re shown to a table where Ivan’s mother can sit with them. “So. Would you like to share a pizza?” Ivan asks, lifting up the menu.
Jinx pulls Eva’s chair to the opening at the table for her. She then took a seat across from Ivan next to Eva and looks at the menu he holds up and smiles, “sure…as long as it’s okay with you” She spoke to him.
He nods. “If you’re curious about any of dhe toppings, just ask.” He smiles.
She nods her head and smiles at his words. “I haven’t really tried any of it before so I guess I’m down to try anything” she spoke in response.
He nods. “Alright. Dhen We’ll do my regular. Plain pepperoni.” He says, putting the menu down. “And I suppose you’d like water to drink?” He asks.
She nods her head yes in response to his question and then looks to Eva, watching her briefly then to Ivan, “are we going home after this?” She asked him.
Ivan nods. “Da. We go home, my mother takes her medicine and we do other things for a while… I usually sleep.” He smiles shyly.
“Oh that’s right cause you work…..” jinx remembered that he works at the bar and she looked at Eva, “I’m not really suited for a real world job right now so I offered to take care of you and keep you company to help out where I can…” she explained to Eva.
Eva smiles. “I’d love dat.” She says as the waitress comes over to take their orders.
Jinx smiled, “Well I’m glad. Then you can leave me and I won’t be alone Ivan.” She said knowing very well he didn’t like her alone with the lab still looking for her. And after that night at the bar.
