You don’t have to agree with it, but don’t hinder what a woman wishes to do with her body.

I personally don’t react well to an oral contraceptive of any kind, arm implants freak me out, and IUDs tend to give me cysts. Then there’s that little problem where the doctors aknowledge I have an ovarian condition on top of possible lupus, but refuse to do any sort of testing because my bleeding is light and lasts only a few days. (But cramps and pelvic pain so bad I’m vomiting is normal? Having pain when it’s not my period? Mmm okay 👌)

When we stop asking questions, we continue the stigma against it. Will I someday get my tubes tied or even a full hysterectomy? Absolutely. Women who ask about permanent sterilization understand the risks. Don’t tell her she’s too young or needs to wait “because her husband might want kids.”
