During the construction of Londonâs massive âsuper sewer,â archaeologists discovered something unusual in the mud: a 500-year-old skeleton of a man still wearing his thigh-high leather boots.
The Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA) announced this week that the skeleton was unearthed on the shores of the Thames, near a bend in the river downstream from the Tower of London.
âBy studying the boots, weâve been able to gain a fascinating glimpse into the daily life of a man who lived as many as 500 years ago,â said Beth Richardson, a finds specialist who analyzes artifacts at MOLA Headland, a consortium of archaeologists. âThey have helped us to better understand how he may have made his living in hazardous and difficult conditions, but also how he may have died. It has been a privilege to be able to study something so rare and so personal.â Read more.

James turns to Elsa and nods in response before focusing on the road. âNew York is a very busy city. Millions of people live here and all from different parts of the world. All of different religion and speak different languages. A good place to live and where people feel if they make it here they can make it anywhere.â
Elsa looks in wow at everything frozen around them. She saw Rachel and gave a small smile, âIâm fine.â She spoke reassuringly.
She looked at James, âso what now?â She asked him and Rachel both.
âWe leave now before people realize what happened,â said Rachel knowing she couldnât freeze the entire city forever. âI assume you both came in a car?â
James nods in response before turning to Elsa. âWant to head back to the tower or go somewhere else?â
Elsa looks at him and at herself. Both covered in ash and soot. She spins her hands and a cool wind whips around her and the dirt and grime was gone. She then looked to James. âI think whatever you think would be goodâ she spoke as she did the same to James. The soot was gone into the air leaving him spotless once more. She smiles. âEither way we should get goingâ she added
A merchant ship docks in the Arrendalle port. The ports were full of merchantsâŚand people seeking the creatures rumored to recently inhabit the mountains. Many have gone missing.
One of the passengers exits the ship wearing a simple travelerâs garb and inly a calvary saber on his side. His bag seems to be the heaviest part about him. If one were to go through it, theyâd find weapons and armor that makes Arrendaleâs seem cheap.
He enters the city, lighting a cigarette.
Elsa sees the other woman come out and she looks at Crispin. âLet me guess. They took care of you huh?â She asked before she laughed at him getting smacked in the back of the head. A guard came up to Elsaâs side. âYour highness is everything okay?â The man asked the Queen.
Elsa looked at him and smiled. âYes everything is fine. Thank you for checking on us but we will be fine. Heâs just getting some much needed loveâ She joked and the man nodded before bowing and excusing himself.
Crispin nodded after being released from the death hold. âOrphanage often ran out of food. They took me in to feed meâŚand make sure I didnât join the White Fang. Grandma over there? Sheâs former Atlas counter-insurgency. She fought in the last days of the Color War. Discharged for refusing to kill Faunus.â Marie and Crispin smiled as Grandma flashed her Mantle and Atlas service tattoos on her arms.
Elsa smiled and held her hand out to shake the old womanâs hand, âthank you. For your service. You should also be the ones I should thank for making him who he is to and extent huh?â She asked. She felt the babies kick and she put her free hand over her stomach briefly.
She chuckled, shaking Elsaâs hand. âAnd to think I was gonna arrange Marie and his wedding.â Marie facepalmed and Crispin blushed, âGrannie, itâs not like it used to be. Iâm gay. I told you this.â
Elsa smiled. âWell I guess no need to now. But since Crispin hadnât said anything about his guest list. Iâm assuming heâd have you both come?â She asked them.
âBut you donât have to!â She added and gave a small anxious smile. Knowing who these people were to Crispin made her slightly anxious in hopes of not messing up. Or giving a negative reflection of herself to them. She may have the title of queen but that didnât mean she didnât need to get the approval of her fiancĂŠs closest family and friends.
âI figured they were comingâŚthough keep Marie away from the booze. SheâŚgets wild as hell.â He chuckles as Marie blushes.
âOkay, just because I screwed one entire women help staff is not cause for you to make fun.â
Elsa laughs a little and looks at Crispin. âThough you may not be the best at telling me things itâs nice to meet you ladies.â She says to them both. She suddenly pauses and she presses her hands to her stomach âtheyâre kickingâ she says referring to the twins inside her.
