Elsa nearly jumped when Mr. gold laughed but she tried to remain calm. She smiled hesitantly before walking over to his counter. “I found this box. In my room back in Arendelle. Anna has me on leave to relax. She thinks I’m getting overwhelmed” she almost huffed a cloud of ice from the frustration at the situation. But pushed it aside. “The thing is Mr. Gold. Though I recognize the box and it does feel quite familiar along with the person who must’ve given it to me. My memory is hazy around who that person might be” she said as she pulled the box out and delicately placed it on the old counter. “I just need to know if you can tell me who made it. Or whom I can go to to find out more about this box” she explained.

Mr gold listened to her words, growing more intruiged. Her situation seems eerily similiar to his previous customer. “Forgotten memory, a box you say.” He clattered his fingers on the counter waiting until the box came in view and he took it before she even put it on the counter. He fiddled with it in his hands, his eyes narrowing until he opened the box. “It is..” he paused for a moment. “Ah, here we go” he pressed a small level on the inside of the box which popped up another layer, and beneath that the very inside of the box was a wooden fox necklace.

“Did you know this was in here? This is quite..marvelous” he raised a brow. “It has a bond here. There seems to be..a familiarity to it.” He took out the necklace twirling it infront of his face. “Yes yes..hand carved. Both the box and this necklace..were made by the same person” He grinned just then, a idea forming but he would hold it for later. “I had a person just moments ago with the same as you. Recalling dreams of someone she doesn’t know, memories that seem rather deserted. You see in storybrooke, there was a curse. That curse is broken when- oh you will figure out soon enough” he clapped his hands and put the necklace in the box.

She watched his excitement and as he opened the box with the lever she went wide eyed in surprise. “I-I think I knew about it…..” she said. It was another thing she was feeling fuzzy on. As he explained to her the story of Storybrooke she held her hand up and sighed.

Elsa put her hand down and spoke, “I know the story of Storybrooke Mr. Gold. I didn’t forget that. Since the whole my Aunt the Snow Queen and trying to use me and Emma. I didn’t forget” she said and as he closed the box she looked up at him. “Who was this Woman?” She asked. She took the box and placed it back into her bag.

He twisted his lips in a pouted smile listening to her but refraining from answering, atleast until he worked out the plan in his head.“ahh yes, I had almost forgotten your aunt who nearly tried to destroy our beloved town” He snorted, half scolding. “How foolish of me to have…forgotten” he raised a brow once again conemplating something and fter a long moments pause he finally spoke.

“The one you wish to seek, is one shrouded in mystery. Find the girl who is unknown yet not new; the one neither dark nor light good nor evil.” His fingers tapped the counter as he told her his riddle. “The dawn of the era as the moon rises. Youll find the answers hidden in this riddle” He laughed just then with a devilish smile. “Just be careful deary..I always get what I want…and what I want..” his voice rang so low, almost a unheard whisper. “Is what she possesses” he returned the gesture with a smile and his voide returned to normal. “Now go. This one is free, but next time..there will be a bargain- a deal. I only give this once. Now leave me, much to do much to do!” He clapped his hands.

Elsa listened closely to his riddle mildly puzzled still. I thought in this “modern” world there’d be less riddles. She thought to herself. But as he mentioned he’d wanted something from the woman she gave a glare. But kept quiet.

When he told her it was a freebie she nodded, “Thank you Mr. Gold….” she said and turned on her heel and walked out of the shop. When she exited she paused and breathed out. “He is just as strange as the trolls are.” She mumbled. She walked down the step. When her wedged sandal hit the pavement she paused. She felt eyes at the back of her head and she turned to look around. Trying to spot whomever it was watching her. But she didn’t see anything after a moment. And breathed out. Before she looked into her bag and then proceeded to head back to the diner.

A forgotten Storybrooke

It was a dark day in story brooke, storm clouds covered the sky making daytime seem like night. No sun would shine today, but for the folks of storybrooke this seemed to be a sign of ominuous currents heading their way. Though things seemed gloom, nothing entirely was wrong especially in grannys diner- even though only emma swan and a few others were sitting at the counter.

one girl sat apart from the small crowd, tucked away in the corner- sitting in the booth across from ruby. Her hair was damp from the rain which could still be heard beating down on the rooftop. Two plates were in the center of the booth table, one had a sirloin steak with mashed potatoes for a side and the other which was closer to the girl with damp hair only contained a single large t-bone steak extea rare- just for her.

“ This smells delicious.” Her stomach growled, aching for it to be filled. It had been well over two days since she had a fresh warm meal. Ruby had scolded her for doing so, but she was to anxious to enter the dinner alone- and she would not let ruby make shift her plans with dorothy just for her sake.

“Come on era, you gotta eat. It won’t bite- not like is anyway” Ruby let out a small sigh followed by a light laugh as she pulled her plate closer to her, digging her fork into the mashed potatoes

“I know it won’t bite. It’s just…I can’t shake my dreams away today” She poked the steak with her nail which grew to be an inch longer and more crystal in color- shaping to look more of a claw than a nail. “Before coming here..I had little memory. Now I have dreams that..I can’t explain.” She proded harder, jabbing her nail into the steak until it was leaking red. She sighed in agitation, glancing up only when she felt ruby’s eyes pierce yellow.

“Era, you know what I’ve told you. There was a curse placed here..that affected everyones memories- though the curse is broken, perhaps it is still affecting you.” She spat out softly looking her in the eyes, hoping her words would prove some comfort.

“ I know..you told me this plenty of times before..but it doesn’t help ease anything…I feel like I keep searching for something-” She was quickly cut off by ruby speaking up.

“Or someone. You’ve told me of this dream before, you smaller..perhaps younger than you are now- with a figure tending to a wound. Something with piercing eyes and a ice cold touch. Your searching for someone you don’t have a memory of. Let’s not forget you have many other memories, it’s not like you forgot who you are.” She wiggled her nose, finishing up her mashed and cutting into the sirloin.

Era growled low and soft under her breathe, and unlike ruby who was cutting her steak- she picked up her’s by the bone and took a huge chunk out of it gulping down hard to ignore the emberassment at being scolded. “Yess Yes. I haven’t forgotten most things..just things like..whoever she was”

Ruby raised a brow after swallowing a few pieces of her steak. “She? So it’s a She now.” Ruby smirked and gave her a little wink which made her cheeks light up a light red.

“Oh don’t you..you..” She flustered for words and then let out a huff before taking another big bite, blood dribbling down her lip which she felt and quickly licked up. “I’m pretty sure it’s a she..but I can’t recall anything else.” By the time She was done talking Ruby had cleared her plate, and She chomped down a few more bites until there was only bone left.

“Well it seems were both satisfied for now, maybe we should..start asking- or perhaps introducing you to more people. Perhaps someone could help us with your memories” Ruby put her plate underneath Era’s with the forks and knives ontop. “Lets go, I have a place where you can stay too, I’m always at dorothy’s anyways” she replied with a wicked big smile, and they both rose from the booth and headed for the door.

Elsa on a trip back to Storybrooke, Anna had sent her on a vacation from the stresses of the kingdom. And so she was staying at Swan’s place.

She was hitting the library and picking some stuff to read to help pass time. After picking a few and checking them out. Belle letting her borrow them without a card. Then started walking back to Emma’s place. Wearing a simple icy blue sundress and a oversized white knit sweater on top and a pair of simple sandal wedges as she passed by the diner she caught a glimpse of a new face in the diner next to ruby. Seemed familiar. Too familiar. But she shook her head and kept walking passed.
