Kymera looks on surprised to see a real dragon flying down and nuzzling against the girl like a pet. “Amazing. I did not think dragons existed in this world. I guess I should have expected it.”
Arthur nods in response. “Oh believe me if you’ve gone on the trips with me and Jason you would have found dragons exist in our universe too. Though they aren’t a friendly as this one.”‘
“Stormfly is pretty friendly and so are the other dragons here,” said Abby as she walks over to Astrid. “Hope you are up for this.”
Astrid looked wide eyed the moment the woman mentioned already having found the egg. She felt the ground rumble beneath them before she spotted it rose from the waters.
“Oh no……” she mumbled. She’d wished she’d had hiccup here to help. As this was not the easiest of dragons. “That…..that is the King of Dragons. He has the ability to control the minds of other dragons. I’ve seen two. One of which died and the other we were unsure what happened to it after Hiccup and Toothless practically pushed it into the ocean.” She explained quickly.
Suddenly she remembered Stormfly. “Shit! STORMFLY, GO!” She called to her dragon. In hopes to get her to leave before the alpha had a chance to control her. Alphas in the hands of bad people can do very bad things.
The dragon turns to the group and roared loudly. Amora moves her hand up and used her magic to control her dragon. “Destroy them all!” she ordered.
The dragon opened its mouth and fired an ice blast at them. Abby grabs Astrid and flies them out of the way. Kymera took off running as well, while Arthur transforms his sword back into the hammer as he begins twirling it. Trying to uses its power to shield him from the ice, but the force of the attack was too much and he got covered in ice.
“Damn it, Arthur. You are supposed to be smarter than that,” said Abby knowing Arthur is fine, but it will be a while before he can break out. She lands Astrid on the ground as she turns to her. “Okay, so questions. One, what is that dragon? Two, why did you send your dragon away? And three, how do we defeat it?”
“Like I said….it’s the King of Dragons. That’s what it is called. It’s in a league of ya own and can control the minds of other dragons. So Stormfly needed to wave otherwise she would’ve been used against us” she explained. “It has blind spots by its eyes you can use. Last time it was defeated it was because of toothless who fought him for Dragon Alpha position. Toothless won. But we don’t have him here.” She explained to Abby. “We are going to have to beat on it from its blind spots. Unless I can send a terror mail to reach Berk sending for the riders.” She explained.
“No time for that,” said Abby as she turns over to where Amora is going. “We don’t have time to fight one enemy and then move on to the next. So…” she turns to Kymera. “Kym! Think you can handle Amora with Astrid? At least until Arthur breaks out?”
Kymera turns to her friend and then to the barrier. “Yes, we’ll handle her. Just be careful with that dragon!”
“I will,” Abby flies down near her friend and sets Astrid down. “Go help her. I’ll fight the dragon,” she said as she took off and opened fire at the dragon to get its attention. “Come on, ugly! Don’t think I will go down as easily as my friend did!”
That got the dragons’ attention as it turned towards her and begins going after her.
“Just don’t kill it Abby. We don’t kill dragons here. If you can render him unconscious that would be the best idea” Astrid explained to Abby before she set the blonde Viking on the ground.
She then ran off to join Kymera, “So what’s the plan?” She asked the woman as she caught up to her. “We still have a barrier and I can only assume we are short on time?” She asked.
