Jinx had just gotten off the night shift and stepped out of Hypnotica (her bar job) bag in hand and she threw her headphones on. Blasting music she began her walk to her apartment, down the crowded city streets.
“Sorry, the records don’t lie…” he said, holding up the sheet that showed the payments and amounts due. “You paid a little bit, but you’re three months behind on your rent. Now how are you gonna pay?” Dan asked, staying as cool and detached as possible.
Jackie looked at the man. Frustration on her face. She brushed her hands through her hair and huffed. “It’s not my fault my boss refuses to pay me!” She said in defense. But then looks at him, her expression becomes a little more intent. “Well what could we do that could……lighten the load…. anything..” she gave a begging tone she chewed her Lower lip lightly for a moment.
Jinx was in the midst of studying her midterm exams. She managed the last 3 hours of studying but was quickly falling asleep at a small table tucked away in the back of the library behind the psychology section. The red head for once was wearing her glasses but it didn’t seem to help anymore she was losing her energy to study.
