“I’m so sorry,” Marilyn scurried to pick up all the papers that were scattered on the ground. “I was working on cleaning, but it seems I made more of a mess than actually cleaning anything up,” she blushed lightly and glanced at the man near her.

“Thanks” he replied with a small smile and blush

“No problem,” she smiled sweetly. Marilyn looked around the room and found a big t-shirt then scurried to the restroom to change her shirt and wash off the blood on her hand.

He waited awkwardly and then eventually began to finish cleaning up the mess.

“Ahh so much better,” Marilyn walked back into the room and gasped, “Whoa you clean things up really fast..or did I take a long time?” she pondered for a moment then giggled. “Marshal I know I already said this, but” she bent over and winked, playfully, “You’re very sweet.”

He looked up at her and smiled.
Standing up he wiped his forehead. “Thanks. You are too.”

Marilyn blushed lightly and smiled, “Thank you,” a light giggle escaped between her lips. “Hey Marshal, would you wanna go do something together?”

He looked up and smiled.
“Sure. What would you like?”

“Hmmm,” she thought carefully and rocked on her heels. “How about we go to a movie or something,” Marilyn tilted her head, still pondering on ideas.

He nodded.
“Sounds good.” He replied

“Lets go then,” Marilyn grabs a hold of Marshal’s hand lightly with a slight pink to her face.

He blushed and smiled.
“Well… okay! ”

She smiled happily and walked with Marshal to the movie theater.

As they walked he stared at the cloudy skies, feeling grateful that he wouldn’t have told burn at that very moment. He looked at her briefly.
“What movie are we seeing?” He asked curiously.

Marilyn paused after hearing the guy’s question. “U-um..” she felt a bit scatter brained, “I didn’t think about it. Oh Oh we could go see this new horror comedy movie that came out. It looked pretty silly on the trailers. It’s called cooties,” Marilyn giggled happily as she walked up to the box office with Marshal.

He blushed at the nickname, his face heating up because of it, and he also felt his heart speed up as well. He gently rubbed his side as he saidn “we’ll go that way then.” He gave him a warm smile, before heading in the direction he pointed in. He kept his arm around Angel, as he asked, “so, where do we have to stop at before your house?”

Angel felt his face growing warmer by the second as the man rubbed his side and glanced down at the ground. “Ah well..” he paused as they continued to walk down the rocky road feeling the light breeze touch his ivory skin. “Just a convenience store, I have to go get something for my dad. It won’t take too long, I promise! Pinky promise,” he held his pink finger up to the man and smiled gently at Elven.

He smiled at that, “well, isn’t that cute.” He then took Angel’s pinky with his own. “But just so you know, i don’t mind if you take a while. You can take all the time you need.” Elven really hoped Angel would take him up on that, he wanted to be with Angel for as long as possible. Though he relaly hoped Violet wasn’t right earlier. About him thinking with his stomach instead his head. Sometimes Violet would tell Elven that he also thought with his lower regions, but he knew that wasn’t the case this timw. All he wanted right now was too get to know Angel better, those type of things could come a bit later. He didn’t mind waiting for later.

Angel smiled sweetly to the man, “Don’t say that,” he giggled out, “Or I might just stay with you all night,” his blush continued to heat up his cheeks as he winked at Elven with his deep blue eyes. “To be honest with you,” Angel began as he stared up at the night turning sky, “I could talk to you all night. Y-you’re just so easy to talk to and so different from everyone else. People always..” he trailed off with a worried look. Angel turned to Elvey and smiled, “You’re just really special.” Angel turned his attention to the store and pointed, “There we go,” glanced back at Elven.

Elven smiled slightly, “i would love for you to be able to talk with you all night.” He pulled out a sharpie he had in his pocket. He then took Angel’s hand and wrote a phone number on the back of his hand. He had a mini notebook in his pocket, but this seemed cuter doing it this way. “That’s Violet’s number, since i don’t have a cell phone, but she’ll let me talk to you on it.” He then looked at the store, smiling skightly, “so, what are we getting here?”

Angel gazed into Elven’s eyes, turned bright red at his action, and froze for a few seconds. His heart thumped in his chest, “T-thank you,” he giggled like an idiot from being so happy. Angel in his fit of happiness reached out and hugged Elven, gently. When he realized what he did Angel pulled away and turned away from the man, as his blushing intensified. “You’ll see,” he answered nervously and walked into the store.

Elven froze a bit at the actionand was planning on wrapping his arms around Angel and just holding him for a while, but he had oulled away too quickly. So, he settled with just following him into the store. “You don’t need to thank me.”

“I do though,” Angel smiled as he walked toward the Alcoholic section of the store. “Out of my life, so far you have been the only one that I truly feel comfortable with and I don’t what to do, but thank you,” Angel bent over to reach a six pack of beer on the lowest shelf.

Elven heard him step back and turned around immediatly. He opened his mouth to say something but clamped it shut immediatly. Violet rolled her eyes, and placed her hands on his shoulders. She then pushed him forward. Elven stumbled but caught himself before he ran into the boy. He glanced back at Violet then. Violet said, “you do what you gotta do. I’m going to go nap. Oh, and do me a favor and call Xander sometime, do he stops blowing up my phone with text messages, worried about you.” Violet then went back inside.

Elven frowned and looked back at the boy. “Um… I’m sorry about that.” He held out his hand trying to be friendly, “I’m Elven, what’s your name?”

Angel wasn’t sure how to react to the man before him. He was a stranger and not only that but his friend can use magic. It was strange and new, but Elven seemed kind so Angel took the chance. He reached out slowly still wary of the man. “M-my name is Angel,” his words were soft, “I-I am really sorry,” Angel bit down on his lower lip. “I didn’t even know this place existed..”

“That name’s appropriate.” He muttered more to himself than anything. He smiled brightly, and took his hand back, before contiuing, “not many do.. it’s meant to be abandon, but we’ve fixed it up enough so it’s livable. And you don’t have to be sorry. You didn’t do anything wrong.”

A heat radiated off his cheeks after hearing the comment from the man. “W-why are you both living here? It doesn’t seem very safe..well I guess since one comes here it’d be pretty safe anyway.” Angel played with the strap to his black laptop bag waiting for the Elven’s response patiently.

He thought about the question for a moment, noticing Angel’s fidgetiness as well. Finally he said, “found this place a long time ago. And well, we needed a place people couldn’t easily find.” Normally he wouldn’t be so truthful about this fact, but Angel had already seen Violet’s powers. It be easy to make up an excuse as too wht they needed to have a place people couldn’t find. Though he did change the subject a bit, “besides, i have to protect Violet, this is one way to help protect her.”

“Oh Violet was the girl before,” he spoke softly and brought his bawled up hand to his mouth relaying the events before hand. “Wow, you both seem to be quite the pair,” Angel chuckled lightly thinking about how the two interacted with one another and started to feel less nervous around Elven. “You both must have been together for a while, huh.” He smiled a bit and thrusted his hands in his jean pockets.

That was a little harder to explain, cause in all honesty he had only been with violet for almost two months. Thing about Violet was that her soul reincarnated. there were other versions of her over the years, much nicer versions. So, all together it be around 300 years. He couldn’t say that either though. Elven didn’t like people knowing about the whole vampirism. Usually when people found out about that, it drove them away… or they tried to kill him, or exorcise him. He rather not have either of those thungs happen, so he decided to say, “a couple of months.”

“Really? It seems you both have been together for far longer, maybe even a few lifetimes,” Angel seemed a bit surprised. He watched the sunset cascade behind the man as the colors seemed to dance over Elven’s hair and skin. He felt weirdly comfortable with the man. Normally he has trouble talking to others, but for some reason he had a feeling he could talk to Elven all day and night.

Elven smiled softly at the man. He reached up, and twirled a bit of hid hair. A nervous habit he had. He then said, “yeah, we hit it off. We know how each other works by now. Do you live in town?” He then realized something. This guy was a teenager, and usually teenagers had parents, and didn’t like them being out late. At least that’s what he’s read. He rather not get this guy in troubke by keeping him, so he said, “do you need to go home? I could walk with you if you wish.”

Angel blushed lightly as Elven touched his jet black hair. “O-oh yeah, I almost forgot,” Angel lightly hit his forehead. “Um..I hope they aren’t closed,” he mumbled to himself. “I-if you don’t mind..it’d be nice to walk with you. I just need to stop somewhere before my house. If that’s all right.” He beamed at Elven pulling down gently on his shirt.

“Yeah, sure we can do that.” He seemed to beam. “Just let me go and tell Violet.” He went and opened the door, it ended up hitting right against her head, because she had been listening at the door. He frowned and said, “what are you doing?”

Violet’s voice came through the door to say, “making sure you don’t screw this up. Now go leave, I’ll be fine for a few hours.”

Elven just shrugged, closing the door. He then went to Angel’s side, placing an arm around his waist, and hoped he wouldn’t find that weird. “We can head out now…” he bit his lip before adding, “Angel face.” He thought to himself, ‘that probably sounded creepy.’

“O-ok,” Angel’s face turned a light shade of pink that continued to illuminate the top of his ears after feeling the man’s hand wrap around his waist. “Elvey,” he lightly chuckled at the new nickname he gave to Elven. “U-um,” Angel tried to stay focused on the task at hand, “I’m pretty sure I came from there,” he pointed in a seemingly familiar direction.
