Kymera looks on surprised to see a real dragon flying down and nuzzling against the girl like a pet. “Amazing. I did not think dragons existed in this world. I guess I should have expected it.”
Arthur nods in response. “Oh believe me if you’ve gone on the trips with me and Jason you would have found dragons exist in our universe too. Though they aren’t a friendly as this one.”‘
“Stormfly is pretty friendly and so are the other dragons here,” said Abby as she walks over to Astrid. “Hope you are up for this.”
Astrid looked wide eyed the moment the woman mentioned already having found the egg. She felt the ground rumble beneath them before she spotted it rose from the waters.
“Oh no……” she mumbled. She’d wished she’d had hiccup here to help. As this was not the easiest of dragons. “That…..that is the King of Dragons. He has the ability to control the minds of other dragons. I’ve seen two. One of which died and the other we were unsure what happened to it after Hiccup and Toothless practically pushed it into the ocean.” She explained quickly.
Suddenly she remembered Stormfly. “Shit! STORMFLY, GO!” She called to her dragon. In hopes to get her to leave before the alpha had a chance to control her. Alphas in the hands of bad people can do very bad things.
The dragon turns to the group and roared loudly. Amora moves her hand up and used her magic to control her dragon. “Destroy them all!” she ordered.
The dragon opened its mouth and fired an ice blast at them. Abby grabs Astrid and flies them out of the way. Kymera took off running as well, while Arthur transforms his sword back into the hammer as he begins twirling it. Trying to uses its power to shield him from the ice, but the force of the attack was too much and he got covered in ice.
“Damn it, Arthur. You are supposed to be smarter than that,” said Abby knowing Arthur is fine, but it will be a while before he can break out. She lands Astrid on the ground as she turns to her. “Okay, so questions. One, what is that dragon? Two, why did you send your dragon away? And three, how do we defeat it?”
“Like I said….it’s the King of Dragons. That’s what it is called. It’s in a league of ya own and can control the minds of other dragons. So Stormfly needed to wave otherwise she would’ve been used against us” she explained. “It has blind spots by its eyes you can use. Last time it was defeated it was because of toothless who fought him for Dragon Alpha position. Toothless won. But we don’t have him here.” She explained to Abby. “We are going to have to beat on it from its blind spots. Unless I can send a terror mail to reach Berk sending for the riders.” She explained.
“No time for that,” said Abby as she turns over to where Amora is going. “We don’t have time to fight one enemy and then move on to the next. So…” she turns to Kymera. “Kym! Think you can handle Amora with Astrid? At least until Arthur breaks out?”
Kymera turns to her friend and then to the barrier. “Yes, we’ll handle her. Just be careful with that dragon!”
“I will,” Abby flies down near her friend and sets Astrid down. “Go help her. I’ll fight the dragon,” she said as she took off and opened fire at the dragon to get its attention. “Come on, ugly! Don’t think I will go down as easily as my friend did!”
That got the dragons’ attention as it turned towards her and begins going after her.
“Just don’t kill it Abby. We don’t kill dragons here. If you can render him unconscious that would be the best idea” Astrid explained to Abby before she set the blonde Viking on the ground.
She then ran off to join Kymera, “So what’s the plan?” She asked the woman as she caught up to her. “We still have a barrier and I can only assume we are short on time?” She asked.
“Making my job a lot more difficult than it needs to be, Astrid. But fine no killing the dragon,” said Abby as she begins shutting off all lethal weapons she has and goes to find another way to take the dragon down as it fires more ice breath at her.
Kymera nods in response knowing there isnt much time left. She moves her hand up and begins summoning some lightning. “Once i pierce through the barrier jump in!” she shouted as she intends to leap inside with her once they open the barrier.
She fires lightning at it as the lightning slowly began getting through the barrier. Kymera fired at it more and more as the barrier opened up. “JUMP IN!!!”
Astrid nodded at her plan. Watching carefully for her brief window of time. And when it opened up she almost jumped in before Kymera even gave the signal. And she immediately went to take down Amora. “Amora stop this!….the power of Hela, I may not know her personally like you but I do know that power like that isn’t given to just anyone you have no right to take it and no right to use it for whatever your means are!” She tried to explain her axe in hand she was only a few feet away from the woman. “I don’t want to have to hurt you woman” she added.
Amora stops walking and then turns towards Astrid. “I believe you have it the other way around mortal. You don’t want me to hurt you…” she used her magic to fire a green fire blast at her.
Kymera leaps over and takes the blast as her suit protected her. “Don’t try fighting her! She uses magic and is an Asgardian,” she replied before turning to Astrid. “Go destroy the ritual, while I hold her off.”
Astrid huffs as Kymera takes the blow for her. Feeling as if she is useless, but doesn’t say a word.
She then runs towards the ritual shrine and begins taking down anything and everything she can, using axe swings and blasts from the suit gloves. She slowly started making her way to the center of the ritual.
Amora sees Astrid running towards the ritual and sighed as she snapped her fingers. Soon, the fire behind her began to summon a skeleton dragon. The skeleton dragon emerged from the fire and turns towards Astrid. It opened its mouth and fired projectile bones at her.
Kymera charges at Amora using the kinetic energy she absorbed, but Amora created a barrier to protect herself from the attack. She then summoned a dark sword and begins attacking her.
Astrid started to back up looking at the deceased dragon attack her. She thankfully was dodging most of the projectiles. But found herself using the blasters when things were cutting it to close.
When she found a break in it firing at her she used the blasters to take out bones in its legs. In hopes of making it collapse. Or at least hinder it. “At least I don’t have to worry about killing you” She mumbled to herself. Keeping out of the way of projectile bones she also tried to move closer to the rituals center.
The dragon got hit by the blaster, but its body began to recover from the attack. It opened its mouth again and fired more projectiles at her.
Kymera is tossed over and got hit by the attacks as she is knocked to the ground. She begins getting up as groaned a little in pain. “D-damn it. That didn’t go well,” she said as she turns to Astrid. “H-how are things going on your end?”
Amora walks over to her dragon as she noticed the girl with the ax. “Surprised you are still alive, but then again you Vikings are a stubborn bunch even when faced with death.”
Astrid glares noticing the repairs the dragon is doing to itself. She begins dodging more projectiles. As she hurries to the shrine, almost reaching it when she hears Kymera “oh….I’m doin great!” She spoke. “Just stay put…” she called out to the girl as she came right up on the shrine. She looked over at Amora, “Yea you haven’t met me…..I’m more stubborn then the rest” she spoke and jumped with her axe, she was using it to hit the shrine, to dismantle it and the dragon.
Amora glares at the girl for what she did. She destroyed her shrine and her materials. The dragon remained in place though thanks to Amora’s magic. She looks over to see Arthur breaking free of the ice and pierced through the barrier with his hammer. He walks over towards the girls as Kymera begins getting up.
“Nice work, Astrid. Glad to see you took care of the ritual,” he said as he turns to Amora. “Now for you…why would you do all of this? What do you hope to gain by attacking this world’s Asgard?”
“You mean besides the obvious?” Amora replied before looking down. “I was hoping to use the powers of Hela to destroy Asgard and take its power so I can bring it back home. So, once I return I would destroy your father.”
Astrid gives an exhausted salute to Arthur. Then turns to look at Amora as she made her comment. Rolling her eyes, “Well you don’t just get to do that…..” she huffed out “…..what did he do to you again?” She asked her. Axe at the ready to take care of the dragon remians that still stood before her and Arthur.
“He disappeared for two years, didn’t stop the nine realms from going into chaos, and destroyed Asgard,” said Amora as her hands begin to glow in a green aura. “I will destroy your father, Arthur. Even if many must die.”
“Even the innocent people of this world?” Arthur asked as he moves his sword towards her. “Is that how far you will go?”
Amora scoffed before replying. “There is no such thing as an innocent human. They are all the same and…”
Suddenly a missile shot at the dragon and explodes causing its bone to fall near Amora.
“Yeah, humans are bad and evil, but we’re also pretty smart!” said Abby as she flew towards Amora while the dragon continued to attack her.
She flew over Amora as the dragon fired another ice blast, but it missed and hits Amora along with the dragon bones. Freezing her as Abby flew down to join the others.
“Hey y’all, so did I miss anything?” Abby asked as she stood next to Astrid.
The blonde looked up and watched her attack the dragon and watch it attack and backfire onto Amora and she looked in awe and excitement at Abby.
When she spoke as she landed. Astrid nodded, “nope didn’t miss too much.” She spoke and looked over at her as she landed. “You handle the king of dragons alright?” She whispered over to Abby.
