“I can, because you cant fight right now and I need you to get the others, we need to this thing out of here. Now go!” he said as he helped his girlfriend on her dragon and sent her away. He turned his attention to the dragon and came up next to Toothless as he was in a standoff with the death song and he slowly reached in the saddle bag and pulled out his sword and lit it getting ready for a fight. 

She growled at him sending her off but she knew in the reality of it all she wasn’t gonna be much use. So she let Stormfly carry her to the Edge and when they landed the dragon carefully eased her down. “GUYS!” She called out. “HICCUPS IN TROUBLE. He needs back up on the West side of the island” she explained.

Hiccup smiled and took a deep breath, he truly felt at home in the sky. Though this was a little different as he wasnt on Toothless but this was a welcomed change, he didnt have to worry about steering his dragon he could just relax and take it all in and so he did. Not to mention he felt absolutely comfortable handing Astrid the reins and letting her lead on, it was only right given that it was her dragon they were riding. 

She slightly leaned back against hiccups chest and smiled warmly. She loved when she could give him a ride. Not that he wasn’t capable but it felt nice when she could fly for him.

She, though thinking of Hiccup, also was keeping eyes around The Edge looking for the famed Night fury dragon.

Hiccup smiled and took a deep breath, he truly felt at home in the sky. Though this was a little different as he wasnt on Toothless but this was a welcomed change, he didnt have to worry about steering his dragon he could just relax and take it all in and so he did. He embraced his love tightly and leaned into her kiss when she kissed his cheek, “Ok.” he said agreeing with her, he knew that sooner or later they would have to leave. He watched her climb up on her dragon’s back and then hold out her hand for him to climb up with her, he smiled at her and took her hand and climbed up on Stormfly’s back, “Alright, lets go.” he said excitedly, he was  excited for one last flight. 

Without hesitation she pulled Hiccup up behind her. And when they both were situated Stormfly took to the air. “Okay girl lets go find toothless” she said to her and petter her side.

As they got to the air she smiled at the familiar feeling she’d gotten so used to over the last 3 years. The chill that surrounded them and the quiet that seemed so loud whilst they flew. And on top of that she had Hiccup with her. Possibly her most favorite part.

When they heard the melody they could tell that their dragons were drawn to it as well, “Fight it bud, you know what song is.” He said wary of what was going on, but when he saw Astrid take off towards the song he was concerned, “Astrid wait, something’s not right.” he said calling out to her as he chased after her. As he caught up with her he heard her call out to him to tell him that it wasnt their friend but some other death song. “Astrid come on we have to get out of here.” he said as he took her hand and tried to pull her to safety. 

As she nodded and took his hand they moved back out of the cave. But the death song got a shot at Astrid right at her legs and feet and she gasped. Her weight still has momentum which cause her to fall forward without a chance to stop it. She put her hands out as she hit the ground. “HICCUP!” She called out. Hopefully he had his heat sword with him. She heard the death songs tune approaching her and she turned to look back seeing it step closer and closer in what seemed to be a hungry vengeance.

asked when they’d be leaving he sighed sadly and looked around the place, “In
another couple of hours just waiting for the others to finish packing.” He said
answering her question, “Sure I’d love to and I’m sure Toothless would too.” He
replied to her perking up a little bit, one last time to remember everything
about their island. “I think someone else is excited to go for a flight.” He
said teasing at the deadly nadder’s excitement.

She went up to Hiccup and kissed his cheek and hugged him. “Cmon babe, we can go grab toothless” she said and pulled back before swinging herself onto the back of Stormfly who seemed extremely eager and anxious. Wagging around. She held her hand out to Hiccup and smiled at him with her more casual expression.

“Sure thing, sounds much more exciting than flying around
waiting for nothing to happen.” He said agreeing to go with her, “Its probably
just a whispering death or something.” He said as they went closer to the cave,
he grabbed her hand and accepted her help to get off of Toothless. The dragon
stayed close and alert in case anything made a move to attack them. (Sorry its
so short)

Astrid held onto his hand as they walked deeper into the cave. Stormfly following close to toothless. As they rounded the corner it was dead silent. But as they moved deeper suddenly they heard a distinctive call. A tune, melody. Of one Death song. Astrid raised her head and rushed after it assuming it’d have been Garth. But as she rounded the corner she found herself shot at with amber and by a completely different death song from the two they were familiar with and she gasped. “Hiccup! It’s not Garth” she said to him.
