Fawn was carrying logs to her cabin humming softly. She put the logs down and zipped up her pink parka. Snow has started to fall and soon the woods would be covered.
Jinx felt the snow hit her freckled nose. She pulled down her forest green scarf exposing her face so she could feel the chill on her face. She could hear the faint sound of humming off in the distance. And stepped closer to the direction of the humming, ever carefully. Pulling back up her scarf over her mouth.
Fawn finally made it to her cabin and unlocked the door, she shoveled a path and brought the fire wood in.
Jinx stepped closer and closer till she saw a cabin slowly appear in the distance. As she walked closer to see a better view she stepped over a buried twig. Where it’s “SNAP” seemed to echo louder then it should’ve. And her eyes showed sudden panic as she silently cursed herself.
The small woman turned around and held up a log, trying to protect herself. “W-who I-is t-there?”
The hooded women pulled out a bow and dropped to one knee. Though unloaded, she pulled the string back and pointed it to the women in defense. “Well I’m definitely not someone who plans to get hit by a log. Could you put that down?” She asked out to the small woman.
She dropped the log and started crying her stutter getting worse. “P-please d-don’t h-hurt m-me.”
Jinx lowered her bow. She sighed in relief the girl dropped the log. She raised the bow and her hands up as she walked closer. “I-I’m Sorry. I promise it’s not loaded.” She walked closer to the crying girl and slung the bow over her head and onto her back.
Fawn sniffled and looked at the other woman. “W-who a-are y-you?”
She stepped closer. The snow had started to fall in fluffy flakes. She still had her scarf and hood up covering a majority of her face. She looked at the small women. Something seemed oddly familiar in her appeared. “My name is Jinx. I’m sort of on the run.” She said simply with a calm tone.
Fawn looked up at her and her innocent looking face contorted into confusion. “W-who a-are y-you r-running f-from?”
She sighed, “put it simply, I pissed a couple hunters off and so….we got here” she said and shrugged, “the bow is a precautionary measure. I apologize” she added
