Being a witch isn’t like a secret exclusive club, you can totally do your research and become one. You decide when you’re ready to slap that label on yourself, but to new comers, curious little kittens and people who are new to the idea are typically called a ‘baby witch’.
Some people are born into witch families, or related to a witch. Most times these witches refer to themselves and are referred to as a hereditary witch.
However it’s not a requirement to be a witch. Being a witch is essentially someone who practices magic/magick, by use of any tool or means, or method they desire. There are also several kinds of witches, like sea witches, green witches, and kitchen witches to name a few.
Practices vary from person to person, so if you’re interested in this; rest assured you won’t stand out or be judged.
The witchcraft community is very open and friendly, Nessa and I were fortunate enough to make a few on here.
Welp, I went a little too into this topic. I hope this helped to answer your question, thanks for asking anon and feel free to come by again.
